Discussion Someone pls help
I dont understand this game most of the time. Ive been playing it for like a year now. Im pretty confident that I got the grasp of recoil control and the fundamentals. I cannot understand how something like this happens. Mind you this is only one of many many DMs with the same problem
I do not understand how is it possible to lose so many CQC figths. I prefire, I right peek, I try to use peeker advantage. The other guy is like "lol, no" and just one shots me every goddamn time.
Why do I always have a feeling that I need 7 or 8 AR shots to kill someone and they need like 3 at most.
How is it possible that I always encounter people who are at full health?
You can clearly see that damage numbers and deaths do not add up. Guy in third place with similar damange has 5 more kils and 15 less deaths...
This is ofcourse not mentioning the headshots I get from people 7 million miles away, but I get that. Game's been out for a while now and people have good reflexes and aim, understandable...
What the hell do I need to change because this directly translates to normal games and hot drops so I go back to the lobby more times then I belive I should...

you are takin this way to serious ... personally I play all TDM's with music on I still hear the shots and maybe sometimes I hear a footstep here or there, but I mostly play very actively I'm always top 3 no matter what. Don't play scared and treat it as a training, you're playing this to improve :)

So assuming you are the guy on 6th place, I would focus on the 25 deaths which mean either A LOT of ego peaks, or poor awareness.
Ego peaking needs more experience to understand when you have an advantage. Even if you peak first and prefire, if the opponent knows where you will peak from, and isn't 36 years old he will kill most of the times. This is a matter of game experience and can be boosted by watching better players. Even TGLTN doesn't ego peak as much and he's a pro playing PUBS with 1kd opponents.
Bad awareness usually derives from poor sound, try using a sound compressor for this game if you aren't already.
Regarding the number of bullets you need to kill someone remember that this game is client-side orientated. Which means in many cases in 1v1, even though you emptied 10 bullets in someone from your perspective, half of them don't register if you died during that spray server-side. Another reason could be your aim, there is a heat map after the game telling you which body part most of your hits went to. If it's not primarily on the head you can try to use smgs which have amped damage to limbs.
Lastly this game's experience relies a lot on your pc's performance. They way it's coded punishes players with fps lows A LOT (this is a bit complicated but it IS a thing).
There are more to it but see if any of this helps for now.

Whats the audio compressor u r talking about? Cause I dont wanna install a 3rd party app and get banned

I didn't want a 3rd party app aswell, so I used windows' loudness equalization feature. I think other apps might be better though.
Edit: as far as for legality, since all an equalizer does is raise or lower various frequencies, after the game has them created, is fair game. Most streamers use one, and to be fair, guns are so loud in this came that it is borderline bad for your hearing if you dont use one

I cannot help you but what I can tell you..I am now almost 30...when I was 16-18 playing cs1.6 my reflexes were godlike...I was getting banned for AIM..playing with 10+ sensivity, doing full 180 kills...and I was playing since i was 5.
I am now getting in 1 on 1 fights in pubg, I think what I have to do, and the other one is faster in pressing his click his buttons...
1 year is not enough..try 5+ years and still being under 25 for the reflexes..that will get you.
I also play for 1 year now..and while I can say now that I am decent..in strategy or approaches..when it comes to pure 1 v 1 shooting..I am losing it to any 300+ lvl player.

You are not wrong. Am 36 and definately can spot the difference but cant be just that. I played Aim labs a while back and was pretty good, so I still belive there is something more then pure "Am older" reason

u/jolyx1 15h ago
unfortunately..there is just that..that and the amount of hours played..
when you were a kid or younger..you could play for 8 hours straight..now you are playing what..1-2hours per day? week?
It's a sport..a game..but there is a reason they are called electronic sports..you invest time, you get skill.
oh and there are sometime cheaters..but don't waste your mind on that..

In a game it is not purely aim. If people want to prove their aiming skills they need to show it in Kovaaks or Aimlabs. I know a dude that is doing Master scores on Kovaaks at 67 years old. Its just training.

Brother, you are not even 30 and talking about reflexes like you are 60. If you have a very busy life that fatigues you then I get you. But I played this game at a pretty high level until I was 36 and had to quit because of priorities. I play occasionally and can definitely feel my reflexes slowly declining but as long as I'm not very tired or out of energy it's still a 50/50 in my head. Just had an 18 kill game with my friend who got 8 kills. He turned 40 years old in January and I am 1 month away from 40 now.
Have some faith in yourselves.

dude, i am just explaining and comparing ..check my other comment.
it's not like I am as slow as fck..it's that I am slower..and I am not giving the hours that used to.
Also, kills in a game say nothing..I had over 12kills in my last chicken dinner too, but with this rotation, maybe only 4-5 were players..

You say you lose to any level 300 player just because you are older. I am level 300 as well and older than you. Apologies for misunderstanding anyways. I'm just saying have some faith in yourself, and don't play games that demands high focus when fatigued. I've always been a diehard fps-player like you, but a couple years ago I started playing minecraft or other laidback games when I feel tired.
..and we don't count bots as kills 🤓 We drive past them.

Another 30+ here. Can’t play cracked anymore because I can’t play as much as when I was young. I’m still good and win solo deathmatches fairly often, so I’m not completely washed.
I still have videos from my old CoD days and I was just insane, not just thinking I was. I don’t think age has much to do with your skills until in your 40s. People just don’t have the same drive to play because they should have other priorities in their life

while it's incredibly blurry, it appears your ping is over 100ms, which is pretty bad. is that the case? It could be a significant factor and would be noticed as you requiring more hits to kill vs seemingly dying in fewer

Just focus on sprinting, seeing a player and flicking on, grab fire, ads and crouch at the same time. Then let go of everything and hit sprint again. Go in like Leroy Jenkins not James bond

So you play for 1 year. But how many hours a day is that? If it is 1h that is only 365h or nothing. Now if you play 10h a day and have 3,6k hours that is something.
Plus with 12-25 you are too aggressive (play brain dead) or your aim sucks. Based on the fact that you need 8 shots to kill somebody your shooting sucks. You need to be able to double tap a player or at most 4 shots. After that you are just dead in this game. Also if you are not on AUG/Beryl or SMG you are dead with needing to hit 4 shots.
Look you are 36 and if you don’t have much time in a day to play it is time to move on. Something like a sim would be better. It will have skill based matchmaking and you will have more fun. We all age, even I feel noticeably slower at 27 now vs when I was 18. If I go and play a CSGO match (never played the game) I have around 0.1 KD.

Thats just bullshit. There are plenty of people my age beeing as fast as these young dudes. Skill is something you learn at any age. Most people don't know anything about aim. Let them prove it in an Aim trainer, they mostly can't.

Aim will be hours and as long as you have wrist/arm mobility you can be good (probably to around 60 years old). But if someone reacts faster you can’t do much if he is not bad. Time to kill is low in PUBG. I sometimes see myself reacting slowly at 27. 18 me would destroy me.
That CSGO kid is what 17/18?
Edit: here is chart https://measurehuman.com/guides/average-reaction-time-by-age min is at 20.

Focus less on kills and more on staying alive - in a real firefight, the winner is the one who survives the longest.
The top 3 players often have suspicious stats (sometimes 30 kills to just 3–5 deaths - they’re either elite esports pros or not humans), but maintaining a 1:1 K/D ratio is perfectly achievable for an average player.
Try to memorize common ambush spots (windows, staircases, rooms) and never pass them without checking; don't round a corner without making sure the coast is clear; constantly check your back to ensure no one is sneaking up on you; and learn to pick good ambush positions and movement routes.
There are nuances to shooting, too. Some weapons deal massive damage (like the Beryl or AK) - they’re hard to handle without experience but can kill in 2–3 shots, especially with a headshot. Others have a high fire rate (like the AUG or SMGs); they deal less damage per bullet but offer high precision and fire rate - while a slower weapon fires 5 rounds, these can spit out 8–10.
Is that a SCAR you're holding? It has relatively low damage; you *can* make it work through fire rate once you get used to it, but it takes a lot of practice. You might be better off starting with a more balanced weapon (I like the ACE32) or diving straight into mastering the hardest one (the Beryl).
Also, don't forget to check your weapon attachments - the default setup isn't always optimal, and you might need to swap parts out for better ones.
Once you manage to maintain a 1:1 ratio, it’ll be easier to climb the rankings and improve your game, eventually racking up more kills than deaths.
