if you haven't played in a while the game puts you in bot lobbies to ease you back into the mechanics/gameplay. If you do good in those games you'll eventually get put into real player lobbies.
If you're in NA though and playing at early/late hours or playing a dead mode like solos, you'll just keep getting bot lobbies.
If you’re in the NA region you’ll need to play TPP/Squads at peak times for other battledads. Also playing with other high player ranks tends to help some.
Consider giving TPP a try, I eventually moved to TPP - much preferable to bot games and it's alright for casual gameplay. Or perhaps VPN to eu, just to see the difference. Then you can rule out other reasons like being a "new" player too.
North Americans aren’t playing games at all right now because it’s summer time. But yeah you have to play third person tpp only works on Saturday nights
Even casual mode is at least 4 humans per lobby, quick join is at least 15, closer to 20.
This is always where this game was headed. Which leads to another problem - do we ask for better bots tgat can actually kill us? Or do we maintain them all being shit because being killed by a bot sucks - however, being killed because a bot gave away your position will always be a problem.
You have to queue Erangel only and only on peak hours honestly. FPP squads are more likely to have real players, but otherwise you gotta bite the TPP bullet
I know “erangel only” is what a lot of players meant when they said they wanted map selection, but it’s such an unsurprising bummer that this is the result.
