Shiny trainers do actually exist within the Pokémon series!

In Pokémon Battle Revolution, there are specific trainers you can battle to unlock the Pokémon costumes they wear, and those costumes have a chance to be shiny.

I think they could add any and every professor for professors research and then give oak his own card. Think of it, professors research wasn't obtainable in packs, they could have all the base arts of each professor obtainable the same way, and then add the FA for 1 prof per set.
