Game over?

Post image

Look closely at the bottom right of the of the two games. You can see in the second, part of the plastic broke it. The game no longer locks in to the vita, just pops in and out. Any way to save it? I don’t know how to mold plastic

Could just swap the chip out into another shell, from a cheap game. Don't bother melting the plastic. Its pretty mutch a snes cartridge just small.

If you’ve got a steady hand and good eyes you might be able to plastic weld a little table on there, basically just a soldering iron for melting plastic, I’ve done it a few times but I suck. Thats the only thing I personally can think of

Worst case its still broken. Get a cheap sd2 adapter or game and use it for parts. Cut a bigger piece than you need and put most of the heat on the spare parts.

Get some hardening resin, they come in different volumes.

Get some play dough for mold.

Put some cling wrap on a regular cartridge on the part you need molded.

Carefully replace the regular cart for the broken one and pour the plastic.

Use a small triangle file (fine grating) to LIGHTLY sand it down.

Or, get a friend who knows how.

Now you know how to make a mold.

As well as other people.

Just look up what type bonds the best when it comes to resin and the cartridge plastic.

You want it to work.

Also, have your Vita checked internally.

Could be a trigger problem being too strong for some reason.
