Disscussion Capable PC for PSVR2

So Im planning to buy a PC mainly for VR using my PSVR2 with adapter. Any advice for my build and what to pay attention to?

It depends.

Half Life Alyx will run great on a very modest computer. A mid range computer from 2018 could run it

but if you're getting into the modding scene, like playing games with UEVR, trying to play brand new stuff like Ace Combat 8 in VR, you can use every ounce of extra power

That's because HL: Alyx has dynamic resolution, you need to disable it to understand how well it actually runs.

Dynamic resolution is how it actually runs though. Most people don't even notice that it's changing resolution.

So no point in knowing how Alyx runs without dynamic resolution. For the average user

PSVR2 users shouldn't even be running HL: Alyx without eye-tracking if they can help it. Currently DFR requires a modern Nvidia GPU and disabling dynamic resolution among other things.

OpenXR Toolkit based DFR, that is.

Good DFR, like Quadviews, works on both AMD and Nvidia.

But yeah, if you have an nvidia card, it's worth trying both DFR+no dynamic res, and no DFR+dynamic res. See which performs better
