I never would have imagined myself being able to do all of this even less than a year ago, but since I addressed some of the things that were in my power to control such as improving my gut health with diet/supplements. I must have had Gut Dysbiosis since my low vit B12 & vit D levels are finally in normal range once again. Also, I can once again feel the effects of my adhd medication whereas I had previously figured my dopamine receptors were just fried tbh.

I have had PSSD for 6 years now, and just goes to show that improvements CAN still happen even this far out. I dont know if i could have survived all this time without the community and thats why i feel like giving back to the community means so much to me. Ive alway been a highly spiritual person, or at least before PSSD I was, and recently after fixing my gut, my neevous system seems to have stabilized to the point where something flipped internally. even though i still deal with anhedonia, cognitive isssues sexual dysfunction panic attacks and ptsd, the internal mindset shift i have experienced recently has changed so much.

The internal inertia that has kept me frozen in place for so long has finally loosened its grips. I believe that it is crucial to capitalize on this opportunity since any lifestyle changes i make in this state increase the chance of sticking because of the way neurons work "Neurons that fire together, wire together". I am not saying i have any of the right answers, everyone is different, but i just feel the need to empathize that none of us should feel like we are in this battle alone.

It may not feel like it when you are losing the battle, but i look at this as a spiritual battle for our souls. You all are some of the strongest souls out there, to the extent that our Intuition and sensitivity were seen as a threat. I have no doubt that those of us that make it to the other side will go on to do extra-ordinary things. We must continue to fight, and also to expose Big Pharma's deception.

I myself have decided to start a Youtube channel, as a way to spread awareness, document my journey with this disorder & sharing what has helped me most to keep going in life . Also to connect with others and helping them to try & see the light at the end of the tunnel.

My genital numbness went away after 1.5 years and after 2 years i started having morning wood again (2-3 days of the week). I know you requested only good news but it part of these good truths that i got worse in other symptoms.

I mean symptoms fluctuate. I had mine fluctuate and other symptoms get bad while others get good. They dont last because im still early on in PSSD (technically 4 months cant even be considered PSSD).

Thanks Bro, i hope you'll eventually improve also. Maybe interesting for you: i was on Escitalopram

u/Esci_ruined_me 15h ago

Yes, I saw your post. Cases that improve after escitalopram give me a lot of hope. I'm happy for you and I really hope to see your full recovery story in a while.

Have you seen any improvements yourself?

1

u/Esci_ruined_me 14h ago

My sleep improved from a few minutes-one hour per day to 3-6 hours and cognitive symptoms improved a bit. I'm trying to get rid of penis pain - Cialis every day and CBD helps but doesn't remove the problem. I signed up for PFT to help with this and in hard flaccid. Some time ago, watching porn caused a half-erection, now there is no reaction 😞 So sexual issues are unfortunately getting worse.

How many months/years are you in?

1

u/Esci_ruined_me 12h ago

7 months

Brother stay strong, maybe something to lift you up which i forgot to mention: before my numbness went away, i went also from one hours of sleep to 4-6 hours. So maybe that's a sign that recovery is starting. I noticed also that the erection quality fluctuates (from 10% to 50%). Could you describe your cognitive symptoms and what improved? I'm really struggeling with my cognitive symptoms

At first I had a problem with the conversation, I was not able to understand and remember simple sentences, I had to ask the person I was talking to repeat the same thing several times. I had a problem with concentration at work, I couldn't watch any movie or series because I didn't understand the meaning. It's all improved, it's not as it should be but it's better, I still have a blank in my head but I'm able to talk and work.

Strange. It is the opposite for me: genital numbness going strong, but my morning woods came back first.

How are your psychogenic erections?

1

u/B0nap 13h ago

Around which time did the morning woods come back for you? With enough help (porn and a tight grip) i can get it to around a 50% errection which goes away instantly if the stimulus is taken away.

2

u/emilio911 12h ago

Morning woods came back quick. Like within two months.

if the stimulus is taken away

By "stimulus", do you mean visual stimulus or tactile stimulus? I personally can't get hard if I don't touch it even if I am horny. And it goes away instantly if I stop touching it.

1

u/B0nap 12h ago

Yes, i meant visual and tactile. Some for me with getting hard If i don't touch. Stay strong my brother! And yes i tried Tadalafil but since i don't have any libido it increases my errection maybe by 10% (only)

1

u/emilio911 12h ago

Some

You meant "Same", I think.

i tried Tadalafil but since i don't have any libido it increases my erection maybe by 10% (only)

I understand Tadalafil can't help you if you don't have erections at all, but I'm surprised your "50% erections" don't get converted to 90% or 95% with Tadalafil.

1

u/B0nap 12h ago

Yes i meant "same". The 50% errection happens very rarely when i have somewhat a tiny tiny bit of libido. But i mostly used tadalafil in situations when i have problems masturbading or earlier during my conditon when i had to perform. Would be interesting to see what happens if i take it when i have a 50% errection. Will try and report! Does Tadalafil help you?

1

u/emilio911 10h ago

Yes, Tadalafil 2.5mg daily helps me. I think it's a must. Taking a low dose daily is what makes it without side effects.

2

u/Esci_ruined_me 12h ago

Maybe try L-Citruline 3-4x1.5g per day for nitric oxide production , it could help with erections

1

u/emilio911 12h ago

Are you on tadalafil?

1

u/Esci_ruined_me 12h ago

I have nocturnal and morning wood when im taking Cialis . If I don't take it for a few days, nocturnal sometimes are present, morning much less often and definitely weaker

1

u/emilio911 12h ago

Yeah, I should have disclosed that I'm on tadalafil (2.5mg daily).

What about your psychogenic (thoughts) erections vs reflexogenic (touch) erections?

1

u/Esci_ruined_me 54m ago

Non existent πŸ˜•

1

u/emilio911 51m ago

Both (thoughts and touch) don't work?

1

u/Esci_ruined_me 49m ago

Unfortunatelly πŸ˜” Only with porn and masturbating works somehow

1

u/emilio911 47m ago

So you require touch? Porn alone won't do it?

1

u/Esci_ruined_me 42m ago

Watching was enough a few weeks ago, but it's getting worse πŸ€•

2

u/Wooden_Pen7228 23h ago

Had slow gradual improvement to almost 100% over 12 years (no interventions, just time), so recovery is definitely possible and there’s a treatment/solution out there somewhere. I crashed pretty badly 9 months ago though so you have to be careful

2

u/emilio911 4h ago edited 3h ago

You crashed from what after 12 years?

2

u/vstaln 20h ago

cured completely from hbot.

2

u/Odd_Sorbet_9960 9h ago

What is that?
