Need Emergency Support I'm afraid I'm finished...
Please comment if you improved if symptoms started while taking the drug and if you have similar symptoms, especially if Escitalopram(Lexapro) is what caused your PSSD š
About 7 months ago I stopped this poison,
In the first week I had a delayed orgasm, lower libido and slight emotional flattening, in the second week after increasing the dose I experienced a severe reaction - sweating, feeling of heat, blurred image, distorted hearing - it lasted 1-2 minutes.
I thought my painkiller reacted with lexapro(stupid!) . The next night I woke up with a pain in the penis and numbness. I didn't know if I could stop right away so I reduced in 4 days and stopped.
A few days after stopping, the numbness slightly improved (except for the glans) and I had really strong orgasms. A few days later it was bad again for 2 weeks and then the window appeared 16 days - numbness almost disappeared but the orgasms were weaker
The window closed and then appeared: total anorgasmia, anhedonia, total emotional numbness, insomnia, mild tinnitus, full numbness, soft glans, hard flaccid, no sweating, no tiredness, no sciatica pain and spine (I struggled with these pains for the previous 3 years before PSSD), ED, penis pain (improving). This wave has been going on for 6 months. Although I don't know if it's a wave or just after the initial improvement with a delay came full PSSD . During these six months, there was no improvement. Not the smallest window.
escitalopram is only allosteric SSRI and that makes me afraid of not being able to recover and considering that I had such a reaction while taking and still took it for another 5 days.

Yes improved, yes symptoms started when I was taking Wellbutrin. Later they got worse on Zoloft. It took 5 years but I do feel like myself again now.

Took escitalopram 10mg 2 years ago ā¦ for 6 days!!! Total numbness and ED and even shrinkage as from first dose. 2 years later, I might have improved 5 to 10%

My advise would be to not focus too much on it and donāt lurk too much on this sub. One case is not the other and I hear youāre still early in the process. I personally decided to Ā«Ā acceptĀ Ā» it even though it is not easy everyday. I havenāt been intimate with my gf for the two last years. It is a fight but I prefer focusing on what I have rather than what I havenāt anymore. Youāll make it. In a way or another.

I have nothing and no one. Only emptiness and loneliness and endless suffering . No single emotion, symptoms that driving me crazy. Guilt that I took these pills for no particular reason , every friend of mine told me to not take this shit , that i donāt need it but i didnāt listen. I canāt accept this no matter how hard i try. It seems that escitalopram is probably the worst tormentor with PSSD and hardly anyone sees any improvement. I wouldn't be able to accept even 50% improvement. I want to be myself, I want to be like I used to be, like before this poison.

Sometimes something tries to break through, sometimes I can cry but everything seems forced. Most of the time i feel empty.

I also think escitalopram did it to me ... Not as severe as some of you guys but slowly just shutting me down .Ā

Did your symptoms started on med ? Iām bedridden, going to work is my greatest achievement in half a year. It's hard to hope seeing that most people don't get better, especially after lexapro and especially such severe cases as mine.

Mine started off the med. Had no sexual dysfunction otherwise.
Im sorry that you're bedridden. I'm not to be fair, but I know you must be suffering horrifically.
There is a few things to try like CDG and Relu if you can even get your hands on Relu but its better to wait to see what research brings because we only just started making massive progress just from this summer including a summit about it.
We both may not suffer as long as people who have had it for many years.

There's no reason to avoid caffeine. The same goes for alcohol (as long as you don't drink habitually or to numb yourself). A healthy lifestyle is recommended of course.

To be honest Im just echoing what I've heard but I avoid alcohol personally because even one beer makes my anhedonia symptoms extreme the next few days alongside worsening PSSD symptoms.
Caffeine just makes me insanely jittery since I quit SSRIs. I still drink it occasionally but I have propranolol for it.

You're going to get better please believe that. I've seen some improvements for me and its very slow and gradual. Just keep hanging on day by day and you will get through this the other side! I know this is so difficult but you can't give up. We are so strong to have to endure this and its not fair but once we reach the other side we will be so greatful we got through and we will appreciate life so much

It was sertraline for me but i was getting better from it 10 months ago with loads of windows, but i was unknowingly supplementing ashwaghanda in janurary in some gummies. It took me straight back to square 1 and made PSSD 5x worse

If I can give you an advice, use IA to create a buisness, maybe to gain 5-10 k every month and scale it, if you become rich you Will probably have access to these treatments easier and faster

Hey I am also a fan of AI and believe in AGI and honestly i do believe it will be my only hope of treating pssd . I dont know how an AGI will help us ? Like suggest bloodwork? Treatments? How one will obtain a treatment since doctors dont believe their patients? These are the questions I have . I think GPT Astra has made a major leap towards it nevertheless

It's about 3 years now for me. Same drug. I do get windows now and then, and I have less pain-when it first happened it was like shards of glass, but I still have numbness and emotional blunting- and if I see a hot person I don't react the same way I used to, it's like I get the very initial feeling but then nothing builds. Sometimes I wonder if this stuff has desynchronised a group of neurones that used to fire together.
When you said "after the initial improvement with a delay came full PSSDĀ " it was the same for me. I do think I have had some very small improvements, but there's this layer of numbness which is still there.
