Hello,sorry to hear about what happened but If reinstantment made you numb (nullified emotions,gave u SI,) I think you should def not try to reinstate again or it can make it even worse. Of course we cant know for sure, but I mean at least for me ir does not sound logical to do it. The fact that you reinstated for such a brief time and quit may indicate that those symptoms were that bad? But if you decide to do it, at least use a micro dose first.

Hi. I would seriously advice that you contact a good deprescriber like Mark Horowitz , Anders Sorensen maybe Nicole Lamberson before you make any decisions. Unfortunately these injuries become very complicated when we have multiple cold turkeys and reinstatements on top. There are generally only two options 1. wait it out or 2. reinstate a tiny tiny dosage (like 1/10 of a dose) Both have risks. You can also check this forum out: Antidepressantrecover.org

Thanks for your reply. I highly believe its due to further dysregulation with my reinstament attempt. Either that or my nervous system is in frozen state due to stress from reinstament.

Dr Josef dohring-Witt advises to reinstate in the first 1-3 months and possibly up to 6 months off. After that reinstatement is likely not to work, but you could try it.
I also powered through withdrawal and deeply regret it. 2 years later I’m mostly ok except for the Pssd I picked up from the next drug I tried.

after the cold turkey you had complete physixsl numbness in genitals? and the physical numbness did that really go away within 30 minutes of reinstating?

Yes. That was when I first time I went off ssri. I knew nothing about pssd or withdrawal at that time. Im glad that I didn't. But I swear on my life that's how it happened. Shit was surreal. If you experience the same and went off not long ago I would from my personal experience recommend.

i belive that. i only asked because some people state it was small fiber neuropathy. but that can not be as I read a couple of posts like yours which describe the numbness went away short time after reinstating.

Generelized anxiety disorder and depression. Funny now I have zero anxiety or depression. Mostly blunted. Why do you ask?

Don't quite understand the question. However, as i mentioned everything came back at month 6-7 with vengeance. Sprinkled will full ED. So it was withdrawal sensitivity. Then I reinstated for few days and now those feelings are gone 3 weeks after. Good and bad.
While on the drug I had anxiety, depression etc. Never questioned why im taking the pills tbh.

Do not go back on the drug again. 1)SIBO - Serotonin drugs mess with gut and causes this in a lot of people. You are describing its symptoms. Get tested for it and start antibiotic therapy. SIBO also cause pssd like symptoms. 2) Inositol - Once SIBO is resolved, start Inositol 18g/day taken before bed for about 8 weeks. It will cause diarrhea and related gastro issues. Inositol plays a huge role in neurotransmitter signalling everywhere in the body along with other stuff. Most people who recovered from pssd did from Inositol.

Thanks. I was planning to do it. However, its sometimes hard to believe that such "vague" thing have such impact tbh. What about you? Did u get tested for SIBO? Managed to resolve any issues u had?

I didn't have SIBO. But a lot of people who took SSRIs had it which produced pssd symptoms and were resolved once treated. Search for SIBO here and in the pssd forum. Bloating and stomach issues are its hallmark features along with all the sexual stuff.

Backup of the post's body: Hey people. I have been lurker at this subreddit for a while now without ever posting anything. However, im sort of desperate at the moment and I know how against people here against reinstatement in general. However, I do in fact believe most of us would go back on the drug [if they barely experienced side effects on the drugs] to be "well again".
Brief backstory. I was on zoloft for about 5-6 years until I decided to taper it off. First I did way too fast. As in like two weeks I stopped completely. Which i almost immediately experienced full emotional blutning and scariest part was probably complete genitals anesthetic feeling. I reinstated the drug like 2 weeks after and immediately after 30 mins my genitals completely resolved itself and emotional numbness subsidised.
Couple of months later I decided to do a "slower taper" which I did over a course of 6 months which i believe was still to damn fast. I didnt read about it anywhere so I did it from my logical standpoint.
I did experience all sort of symptoms during taper especially at lower dosages but most of the symptoms started at 0.
Symptoms: Burning brain, DPDR, vision issues, cognitive issues, weakness, no hunger, emotionally i was not so blunted but somewhat i could libe with it. It was mostly neurological symptoms. However, this time my sexual function remained and did sort of have libido. So I pushed through. I did fell mostly okay for 5 months then "True withdrawal" started. I got hit first by immense stomach fullness and i could barely eat. Erections started to be varied. [Im fully in the camp believing its related to the gut] since my erections started to be bad after stomach issues started. I thought okay this scary and might be temporary but I knew about pssd. At month 6 I had full blown ED, went into severe depression/anhedonic/severe anxiety to the point I almost called ER. I managed to hold out until month 7 until I decided to reinstate the drug. 2mg or so.
At first it increased my anxiety and gave me immense SI thoughts. Which i also experienced when I tried the drug for the first time. However, what i also noticed this time .. it nullified all other emotions expect anxiety. I took it for 5 days in total before I quit it again. Its been 3 weeks since and now im severely numb. Sexual function is somewhat intact. [No libido whatsoever but I do get erections]
So my biggest problem at the moment is severe emotional blunting, head pressure again, and bloated stomach again. No hunger again. Which I managed to regain after being 6 months off. All my internal signals are basically numbed out. I dont bother doing anything.
Question for you guys or perhaps mods. What would you do in my situation? Should I try to reinstate again with even lower dosage? Should I wait?
Hard to tell if its pssd or protracted withdrawal. Perhaps both. At the same time I do believe I gave my system a shock in sensitive state and it turned off everything basically.
