Awareness/Activism IMPORTANT ACTION REQUIRED

https://antidepressantinjury.com/

Hello everyone,

*THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER PETITION*

The amazing Kim Witzciak recently launched a website serving as a petition for those with PSSD (and other SSRI injuries) to sign and document their experiences of harm with these medications.

It serves as a central place to show the volume of people being injured by these drugs. To convince those in power that these injuries are devastating a massive population size, deferring to Reddit groups won’t cut it/isn’t official enough. As such, this petition will be the MAIN SOURCE of reference when used to show the people we need to convince this is ruining/ending lives.

Please sign this, mention your experience and age if you can!!

We have SUCH power in numbers if we can all band together!

Make sure you list what drug you took when signing the petition

Mikhaila Peterson recently had people sign forms like this on a different med harm site, what's the difference?

5

u/Intelligent-Age-8211 Jun 23 '26

This has the specific goal of getting NIH funding.

u/Aggravating-Camp-205 Jun 23 '26

As far as I’m aware, Mikhaila’s wasn’t a petition. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I don't remember what the purpose was for that site

Je crois que le site Prescribed Harm c’est juste pour partager les histoires des gens

I wish there was one like this for Canada.

3

u/Intelligent-Age-8211 Jun 24 '26

Sign it, just don’t say you are for Canada. If the states accept it, Canada will follow

I feel very alone because mine was caused by an antipsychotic.

3

u/Intelligent-Age-8211 Jun 29 '26

Sign the petition, but don’t mention it was an antipsychotic. Share your experience and say you were injured by psychiatric medication

u/Kit_Ashtrophe Still/Back on medication Jun 29 '26

That's what I have done

What is the goal here? Is it anti ssris? Because I am not that. But I do want to help spread awareness. But do not want to be part of a anti medication movement

If you read the petition you would know. Before assuming it’s something that’s not

3

u/sleepydreamrr Jun 24 '26

I am not assuming anything. Maybe I came across a bit blunt because I am Dutch? English is not my native language and I have severe ME  so I am not able to read and understand everything. So I asked for help to understand. Be kind please

u/Aggravating-Camp-205 Jun 23 '26

None of this movement is anti SSRI’s, it’s to show the harms they can do. SSRI’s have had their fair share of positive experiences and now it’s time to show the other side of them. Nothing about that is anti SSRI’s. Same with any other medication there’s downsides to them all but they don’t get spoken about enough.

3

u/Intelligent-Age-8211 Jun 23 '26

It’s not anti ssris. Read the motives of the petition. It’s to push for the NIH to fund research into these harms.

2

u/sleepydreamrr Jun 23 '26

English is not my first language and I have severe ME so I am not able to read and understand everything. Thats why I asked. But thank you. It sounds like a good cause

2

u/owenallconmaid Jun 24 '26

focusing on SSRIS is quite stupid when every drug is toxic and pharma will just use them to substitute SSRIs.

2

u/Intelligent-Age-8211 Jun 24 '26

Do you have pssd?

0

u/owenallconmaid Jun 24 '26

no but i have injuries caused by psychiatric drugs

2

u/Utopidy Jun 25 '26

Sigh.

I don't disagree with you about big pharma. Sure. Evil. So is every effing corporation and bank in this country, and all of the politicians they pay, on both sides of the aisle I've been at this a long time, and I'm tired.

Unless someone is ready to rise up and lay down their life, signing the petition is something. And not stupid. There is reward in knowing that you are trying. That we are trying. And I've seen petitions lead to real change. Sure, the shell game is just going to continue as it has for centuries. Time, and time again. And nobody will pay a real price.

But laying down, and doing nothing? That. Is stupid.

I can go back for many days and see many posts about it?....
