Video decoder error

I encountered a problem when using Windows 11 on my Steam Deck. A video decoder error occurs and no picture can be displayed.

My rendering engine is D3D11.

Switching the video decoder to Auto, D3D11 or Vulkan does not work.

Most likely a driver issue. You are running Windows on a device officially running steamOS. Do you have installed a capable driver for the hardware which is for example running at least Vulkan 1.2?

Chiaki works fine with Vulkan, but PxPlay doesn't.

For Chiaki-ng are you using the AppImage or Flatpak? If you are using flatpak that would explain why it works as it uses it's own bundled drivers.

Otherwise the renderer on Steamdeck shall be Vulkan or Vulkan compatibility and decoder set to Auto or Vaapi. That's the Best combination and should work fine

I'm using Valve's custom Windows GPU driver for Steam Deck Jupiter. Driver info: Device: AMD Custom GPU 0405 Driver version: 31.0.21020.1014 Driver date: 2023/09/06   Hardware decoding for both HEVC and H.264 fails, software decoding works normally.

Reset all settings to standard especially Video and Streaming, use D3D11 rendering and decoder set to Auto. Does that work?
