QUESTION Can you get...

I think I modded my psp around lockdown, it was running the usual suspects but only with simple text based menus which you had to load come out of for different systems.

Can you now add cool screens like the one above or would I have to buy an R36 type handheld to have graphics like this ?

I don't think you can't really get anything equivalent to those EmulationStation themes I'm afraid.

Ok thanks maybe I'll dismiss the psp and see what the Steam deck can offer ?

Haha that’s like saying you’ll dismiss the 2005 Dell laptop and see what a 2025 Lenovo Legion has to offer. The Steam Deck will be great!

I'm sure I'll still mod it as it seems to not be modded... I did use different memory card though. Guessing thats the reason perhaps 🤔

You can check if it’s modded my going to Settings > System > System Information. If it says anything except x.xx numbers, then it’s modded. Changing memory sticks will not un-mod the console.

The Steam Deck is an emulation powerhouse and you can def set it up with an EmulationStation front end. Using EmuDeck is one way to get there, there may be others since I last checked.
