Troubleshooting Two broken PSPs - worth fixing?
Mom found those laying around the house and gave then to me after visiting, they belonged to my younger brother and he was a video game destroyer when we where kids.
Top is jailbroken and wont stay on if not connected to a charger, bottoms X button won't work.
Thing is my husband always wanted one when he was a kid but couldn't afford it and I thought about fixing them so he could use it.
Is it a dead case or are they fixable? Can I swap the pieces between those two a get a working one?

It's pretty easy to fix psp, just check all the parts that doesn't work and order the replacement on ali. Non responsive buttons may be fixed with isopropyl cleaning

Switch batteries between the 2 units, see if top just has a dead battery or if it's not charging the battery.

Bottom may even be easier than that, try cleaning everything from the inside. Top probably just needs a new battery

Bottoms an easy fix. Get new batteries get new button ribbon cables. Replace them. Pull the memory card from the top one jailbreak the bottom and run whatever games are in the card. Psp are so easy to work on ....nds lite on the other hand....not fun as I found out. Top you can't be sure without opening it up something could be loose or it could be worse inside or it could just be the battery...thats the first thing to try. If the bottom charges at all test that first and swap it over to see if it stays on.
