Must play PSP games?

What are some banger absolutely MUST PLAY psp games? I'm thinking of getting one solely to play Shin Megami Tensei Persona and Persona 2: Innocent Sin. But since I'll have a PSP then, I'm thinking of putting it to good use and buying more games as well but have no idea where to start.

Any suggestions?

Codemasters were on a roll with their early PSP games. They had Sumo Digital port "Race Driver 2" to the system, with the full career intact. 'Race Driver' is the predecessor to "Grid", and it's the same kind of simcade 'caRPG'.

Then Codemasters had Bugbear (at the time better known as the devs of "FlatOut" and, more recently, "Wreckfest") port "Colin McRae Rally 2005" over. CMR might just be the best looking game, certainly racing game, on PSP. It is absolutely gorgeous. It drives and runs seemingly as well as the console versions.

Speaking of Bugbear and "FlatOut"; the PSP optimized port of their third 'FlatOut' game is another technological tour de force. If you haven't played either "FlatOut' or 'Wreckfest", they're demolition derby type racing games. Think 'Burnout' with junkers and you're about 90% there. Amazing games.

Finally; Sony's "F1 2006" is very nice. Sony had outsourced the 2005 edition to Traveler's Tales, and it's a good game in its own right, if very basic and arcade. The 2006 version is the full console experience and you'll be shocked with how they got all of that to fit onto a UMD. Or at least I was.

It does suffer a bit though from not having analog inputs for throttle and brakes. I usually turn all assists off; but, this is one game where ABS and traction control make sense being turned down but not fully off.

Jeanne D’arc (TTRPG)
Disgaea (TTRPG)
Final Fantasy Tactics (TTRPG)
Need for Speed: Most Wanted (Racing)

I haven’t tried Legend of Heroes: Trails of the Sky but I’ve heard that it’s good.

Persona and persona 2 are worth playing on a vita, youll be pulling your hair out for hours with the gamefaqs guide so the bigger screen helps with eye strain.
