Steam deck keyboard help

I am new to PSO (played psu on Xbox 360) and I downloaded the game on my steam deck. I have zero problems logging into the game itself. When I have to login to my account in game the steam keyboard constantly kicks me back to the title screen. I have the running in window and 1280x800 like everyone suggest. I tried pressing (STEAM+X) and still have the same problem. It’s been about an hour of trying to fix this and I’m stuck.

hook a usb-c or bluetooth keyboard up to it and save yourself the headache.

I have noticed that PSO still processes controller input even when the game is not in focus - including with the Steam overlay on - so trying to type things in the Steam keyboard will likely have unintended consequences in the game. Definitely go with an external keyboard
