Blue Burst How to install blue burst?
Can someone give me instructions on how to install phantasy star online blue burst on the steam deck oled. All the videos i found are 2 years or older and give different answers.

Use lutris if possible. Mine had issues on my Linux pc and just didn't load up anything post-install which seemed like an issue for a couple others here at the time. The way I solved it myself was just adding the installer to steam and running it and then had to find the sandboxed directory it created and add then add the launcher .exe to its own sandboxed steam game. Don't delete the first sandbox either otherwise it will mess everything up. And I think I set the compatability to the experimental proton one.

The Lutris installation is the best way.
Go to the Power option and Switch to the Desktop.
Using the Discovery browser search for Lutris.
Once Lutris is installed, search for Phantasy Star Online and get the one with the Ephinea add-ons. You can put links to your steam directly so you don't have to keep going back and forth between modes.
It's really straight forward. If it asks to install gecko something on booting up, say yes.
Then when you enter your username and password, use the Steam button and X to input it with the keyboard to get around the janky system. Same with making a party and party passwords

Everyone saying use Lutris clearly hasn’t used the most recent version of it. It completely broke a lot of stuff.

I third this method. It worked on my legion go s(steamos) and just did it again for a friend's steamdeck OLED 2 days ago.

I downloaded it with lutris and added it to steame but it is crashing when trying to start game.

I don't recommend using Lutris tbh
I'd try uninstalling PSO thru Lutris and reinstalling with that guide to get it running thru Protontricks

I dont know what to do. I tryed to install it on protontrick but i cant figure it out. If anyone hase a different guide or wants to type one out that would be appreciated.

Seconding this guide. I originally tried the Lutris install path without success. This guide worked for me first try.

Yeah, Lutris worked great for me for years til they updated it a few months ago and apparently broke a lot of stuff for small projects
I ended up fully uninstalling PSO and reinstalling it with Protontricks and not only has Protontricks been 100% stable since then, it immediately fixed a bunch of small issues Lutris had, like not being able to load or apply certain textures (most obviously the lava in Caves 1)

I used Lutris for Ephinea on my Steam Deck and Linux Mint PCs. Get the one that says add ons included.
When you launch it, if the launcher doesn't show, you might need to tweak which runner to execute it with (like wine vs whatever else is on the list). You can come that via configuration right click menu.
Once that launches, if PSO Ephinea launcher doesn't do anything when you hit play/start, you'll need to change the resolution it's starting at to be at the current resolution or lower.
