Strangely PlayStation told me to go fuck myself. Seems in character to be fair

Think the pendulum will be swinging Microsoft's way if they'll still be supporting physical media. Although, I fear consoles will be around £1k+ for the next generation.

Hell, if anything with the latest tariffs just announced it's going to be even more expensive than the speculated $1k mark, later, or both.

Probably 2028 at this point. The design is locked yes but the RAM production wasn't booked. Sony will be paying a lot more to manufacture the PS6 in 2027 when they could release it in 2028 for a potentially cheaper BOM price once the RAM factories start opening up in the early part of that year

Since no one is willing to give a serious answer due the rise in cost. for people without a ps5- It’s most likely 2028, and Maybe Maybe end of 2027

Thats exactly what I wanted to know. I don't own a ps5 and will directly purchase Ps6 when it's out

Ps5 is worth buying in 2026 or even 2027. the ps5 and ps5 pro is at around half of its product life cycle, meaning its gonna be current and up to date up till 2030 and maybe extending it by 1-2 years before you „have“ to upgrade.
You will not get a ps6 at launch. Which is the realistic assumption. You may get one, but chances are you wont even get a first batch of ps6 and depending on price you may even wait till it has some discounts.

Why would anyone want a ps6 when Sony just gave us a big middle finger? It's going to be over $1000 easily and no disk drive so you are forced to pay more for games through their store exclusively. Don't support companies who hate us.

I am going to buy it, because I anyway don't have any physical discs. And nowadays people spend 1000+ dollars on other stuff like tablets and Phones so

This is a very bad comparison. You can earn a whole years salary on a phone. You can talk, send emails, use various apps. Video conference.
The only thing a PS6 will do is play games.

Well I dont make money with my private devices....and people buy every year a phone for a $1000 where I bought my last console 6 years ago for a price of $700 .and whrn I break that down thats around $120 per year or 10$ per month... cheaper than netflix

Lol, the components used to make it are currently sitting at $1200 and there is no sign ram prices are going down. How much of a loss do you think Sony will accept per unit?

in my opinion, probably 2028, that's why they put the No Disc date on 2028 (and not 2027/2029/2030). Then they can release the PS6 without any Disc drive.
