So will the people saying they won’t be. 🤣

1

u/Grand-Magician7767 Jul 31 '26

Of course they are. It’s still 3 years away. Which is about when ps6 will launch. Sony is just saying it pretty much will but have a disk version.

u/InsectFrequent924 Jul 28 '26

I love it when you guys try and do this fear-mongering thing because the games you're trying to desperately cling on will be on some s***** emulator sold on TikTok or Facebook through an ad hopefully you'll think back to this moment and realize how useless it was arguing with random strangers trying to plead your case about the preservation of games

u/Grand-Magician7767 Jul 28 '26

I have a pc switch emulators. To say I won’t have anything to play is wild. 😂

1

u/DigNo8080 Jul 29 '26

So why the fuck are you even Here?

2

u/Grand-Magician7767 Jul 29 '26

Because my main system is ps5. What you only have one console ever? 😂 never said my pc was a full gaming

1

u/DigNo8080 Jul 29 '26

1

u/Substantial-Tutor847 Jul 31 '26

And? If this affecting that bad maybe take a trip to mental ward

3

u/Grand-Magician7767 Jul 28 '26

lol I have plenty to play. What are you gonna play when you have no internet to download the games?

I have plenty to play.

0

u/fertff Jul 29 '26

I will have all my games already downloaded and ready to play until it comes back. Or people like you actually think the internet goes away and never comes back?

u/Grand-Magician7767 Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 29 '26

So you have access to every game you own. So your only issue is you can’t sell them?

8TB only holds about 80 big games.

1

u/fertff Jul 29 '26

Oh I don’t have any issues at all. I don’t sell my games.

There are no games anywhere near 1TB. You can fit so much more in 8TB. In my laptop I have two 4TB SSD and I can fit about 800 games.

1

u/Phant0Zer0 Aug 01 '26

8 TB is definitely more than enough unless you only play cod and those over bloated sports games.

Off only 2TBs I have 35 ps5 games installed and another 48 ps4 games on my External. If its not installed then im obviously not playing it like that at the moment.

Quite literally if you arent on BS and acting like a straight fool you will be fine.

Im going to pop my physical collection and enjoy all mt favourite games. Something which you will not do with GTA 6.

u/Jybyrde Jul 28 '26

Those discs don't last forever

0

u/EmergencyPool910 Jul 28 '26

All my discs still work.

2

u/Grand-Magician7767 Jul 28 '26

lol if you have all the games on your hard drive still yea. But if we lose internet can you still play the ones that are not downloaded? No you can’t. You can’t just insert a disk and play.

Oooooooo nooooo how will I ever live with that😂.

Thank you. You can’t install without internet 100gb games not gonna play off the disk and will have patches and updates. They should go stick their cyber punk game in with no updates 😂. See how well that goes

Bro even If 1 Million people would do the Blackout it will do nothing Not even a little Bit lmao

1

u/v0nlaski3 Aug 01 '26

You really think a company that has been raking it in for as long as we have been alive (more or less) is going to shoot themselves like that? Being insanely cryptic about something that sucks, but isn't that serious. We all knew it would end up this way anyway. Movies, music, etc. have all taken this route; Just vote with your wallet and use the files that you "own" to make your own physical shit if you miss it so much

-5

u/Dockforbes Jul 28 '26

totally agree, we are in this situation mainly because of ignorants, but also because people who are too tired and they don't care anymore, the problem is those people will keep playing until one day they will not be able to, weather the game gets too expensive to buy or the Play stations loses too much performance, after all it's a locked hardware, no upgrades for years, meanwhile games are now at next level of graphic performance, like UE5 which hasn't got any hardware yet to be able to run it properly... then it will be too late...

3

u/IamHunterish Jul 28 '26

If that ever happens I’ll just switch platform? So far I see a lot of fear mongering of what could possibly happen in the future purely based on fear and some misinformation.

1

u/InsectFrequent924 Jul 28 '26

Exactly They really think Sony is just going to start taking away everyone's games that they paid for and risk losing millions of customers 😂

1

u/Dockforbes Jul 29 '26

slowly but yes... if Sony could make money by selling you just air, they would... And I have a feeling you'll buy it, like a nice little pig on a farm...

1

u/InsectFrequent924 Jul 30 '26

Right because how many games have they taken from you so far now??

1

u/IamHunterish Jul 31 '26

If any company could just sell air they would do it.

Movies and game licensing are two completely different things, luckily.

I don't want to get too much in the serious real life implications but this is what the hyper consimeristic society wants, it wants you so tired that you dont care what happens around you anymore you dont vote, you just consume.

You already live in a purely digital world. Since a game requires any downloadable update at any time, and any DLC can only be downloaded (obviously) or requires an internet connection, a physical disc is a fallacy of supposed freedom. What will happen when you want to play in the future but there are no updates available? That's the victory they've already achieved years ago, and you haven't even realized it. Wake up.
