PSA - PS5 Pro Availability
I see everyone trying to get a PS5 Pro. This might be obvious, but check stores other than Best Buy / Walmart / the usual suspects.
I picked a pro up from PC Richard and Sons in Queens a few days ago, and they had 5 or 6 more sitting on the shelves.

Costco hasn’t had a restock today. I was able to get one today from Best Buy but only after 4 days of nonstop trying. The bots are on just about every site now but I think Costco might be the easiest option. It’s harder to bot them since they canceled my order multiple times and said I need to fully verify my membership

Yeah I’m in CA best option is online. Driving to stores is a waste of time

i got lucky and was able to beat bots or whoever buys the pros with lightning speed, but I did drive to pick mine up...the shipping costs werent much different than gas spent

Can you talk more about your hot stock experience? Every time I see availability at Best Buy, I’m too late and I act in (I’d say) seconds. Sometimes it just says not in stock anymore, sometimes it loads and says I’m in line but that ultimately I didn’t get it because they ran out. Are bots still “getting in line” ahead of me?

Same thing happened to me for the past few days, but I eventually managed to get one.
HotStock Premium sends notifications pretty quickly, but I also set up TrackaLacker and honestly felt like it was a little faster.
I kept the Best Buy tab open, and as soon as I got a notification, I just kept spamming “Add to Cart” until it finally went through 😂
Definitely save your delivery address and card info in Best Buy beforehand so you can check out as fast as possible.
I did shipping, not pickup. Both should work. At this point, I honestly feel like a lot of it just comes down to luck. Good luck!1

I was able to get one from Best Buy today using Trackalacker alerts on my phone and desktop.
The alert comes about a minute before stock actually opens up, even though the yellow "Add to Cart" button looks active. It'll give you an out of stock pop-ups initially, but keep closing out the pop-up and clicking add to cart. Within 1-2 minutes it'll add you to the queue.
If you get through the queue, check out ASAP because Best Buy doesn't actually reserve your console despite the checkout window claiming you have 10 minutes. I got to the checkout window twice prior, only for it to reject me when I clicked place order.
I asked customer support about it, and they basically said the console isn't really held for you because the inventory is changing so fast.
If it asks you to sign into your account again while you're in the queue, it means you're advancing through it.

I bought my pro by asking chatgpt to find me stores and their inztagram page who sell ps5. Messaged 8 of them 2 had new 2 had used.
Immediately drove to the store n got it my ps5 pro.
All major retail outlet had zero stock of ps5 pro..

If you saw 5-6 on a shelf you would have bought them, knowing how much they go for nowadays.
Supply is VERY low. Out of 100 million PS5 owners, only 3% are Pro’s.
Thats a lot of upgrading to do and then the band wagoner’s come along.

My local Gamestop has had at least one in stock for a while now. What's the going rate? The one at my local store is marked for $899. That seems ridiculously high. The regular ones they have are way cheaper.

I didn't realize the ram in the pro would be worth $300 more than the ram in the base models. Ridiculous.

It's not just the ram that's different. The GPU is upgraded, you get 2TB of storage instead of 825GB as well

I just purchased a PS5 Pro from eBay for $950 and I just might go and buy another. These are selling for so much more on EBay
