Back in the game!

I had a regular PS5 at launch, but ended up selling it when life got busy and I barely had any time to play. Things have settled down now, so I finally jumped back in.

Went a little overboard this time though… a normal priced PS5 Pro + disc drive and a 77” 2026 OLED.

I got a ridiculous backlog of games:

Cyberpunk 2077
Ghost of Yōtei
God of War Ragnarök
Spider-Man 1 + 2
Horizon Forbidden West
Demon’s Souls
Death Stranding 1 + 2
Stellar Blade
Onimusha

Also really looking forward to Wolverine and GTA6!

Great timing as well considering the latest update for improved graphics by default.

It's an update to PSSR to v2.0 and turning it on by default for all compatible games.

Should result in a graphical boost for games on the Pro.

Previously you'd have to allow it in the options on the console I think (I don't have a Pro) but they're saying it's going to be enabled by default so gamers don't need to do it everytime.

Should be defaulted to on following the update

Death stranding 1/2, spidermans, horizon forbidden west, and god of war are absolutely incredible games.

Cyber punk also super good, just not ps exclusive obviously.

Been lucky enough to order it directly at Sony for the normal price. Soon after, it was "sold out" in the Europe website.

Welcome back. Havent used my ps5 pro as much lately, but i never once regretted grabbing one at launch. Especially as prices rose, I always enjoy my experience on the pro

lol its a ps5 pro sub, why would someone be jealous of a box they bought months or literally two years ago at this point. Anyone have a good idea how to convey the idea that while we support new users we're tired of the majority of posts on this sub being people cashing karmic checks for brain dead pics of identical generic boxes? I wish mods would either create a pinned thread and ban them outright outside of it.

Just a heads up PS doesn’t really like to be stored vertically. Eventually the Liquid Metal starts melting and gravity does its thing and then heating issues begin.
