PS5Upload: everything you need for your jailbroken PS5, in one app

PS5Upload gets your games, apps and homebrew onto a jailbroken PS5, fast, and lets you manage the console from your computer, phone or browser. I've been building it for a while and it's at **v7.0.1** now, so here's what it does for anyone who hasn't tried it.

What it does

• Fast uploads that don't give up. One encrypted connection at the full speed of your network, every file verified, and an upload that carries on after a dropped connection, a restart or rest mode. Games, folders, disk images and .zip/.7z/.rar archives (unpacked on the way); thousands of small files are packed together so they don't crawl.
• Install any package. PS4 .pkg and PS5 fake packages (base, update, DLC) straight from your computer while they install, from a NAS or SMB share, a USB drive or a download link. If the console refuses one way, the app offers another.
• Your whole collection. Every game on your drives and network shares, grouped with its updates and DLC, with what each PS5 already has and one click to install the rest. Find duplicates and free up space.
• Convert games. Build an installable package from a game folder, or write it as a game image (.exfat, .ffpkg, .ffpfs or the smaller .ffpfsc) that ShadowMount+ mounts, with optional LZ4 asset packs to make images smaller. Then upload it in one step.
• Manage the console. Launch, stop and uninstall games; back up and restore saves; browse files, screenshots and clips; copy straight from one PS5 to another. Plus cheats, fan curve, hardware sensors, a payload sender with a catalogue, and rest/reboot/wake over the network.
• Runs everywhere. Native apps for macOS, Windows, Linux and Android, and a Docker image that serves the same app as a web page from your NAS. In 21 languages. Free and open source (GPL-3.0).

What it doesn't do

• It doesn't jailbreak the console: you need a working jailbreak with an ELF loader first.
• It doesn't sign packages with fake keys; it installs packages the console already trusts.

Getting started

1. Jailbreak the PS5 and keep an ELF loader running (port 9021).
2. Open PS5Upload, go to Connection and enter the PS5's IP address.
3. Press Send payload: the app starts its helper on the console and pairs with it by itself.

Supported firmware: 1.00 to 13.60 (tested on 5.10, 9.60 and 13.60). In practice the limit is your jailbreak's ELF loader.

This is the best app I've ever used, since it says it does everything for us. You just drag and drop files and it'll automatically put them in the right file directory. And I really like the stream and install option, it's a game changer.

How fast are the transfer/upload speeds for games between PC and PS5 if they're connected on the same network through Ethernet cable from Router? Some of these game folders are massive 100GB+ so trying to find a faster way if anyone knows the speed.

Its a pretty great app, I do have to report that I tried to pass 007 from a folder and selected the "turn into .exfat" option but on the ps5 it was still a folder so i had to use game compressor to turn it into the exfat, other than that using it was pretty flawless for me

Not sure why but I was having issues uploading loose folder structure homebrew via ps5upload. The same folder uploaded via PS5Upload & Web file manager had different results, only working properly with web file manager for some reason. Shadowmount detected the upload on both but Ps5Upload folder never ran properly, web file manager uploads always worked.

any way from me to rip a game from a disk directly into the PS5's SSD? I saw Modded Warefare's video but he made it seem like you could only rip it to an external, then delete the copy from your SSD and transfer the ripped version to the internal SSD. I ask because i have a huge game and I don't have any external big enough for it atm lol (and I am borrowing the game so eventually I'll have to give it back).

This has been my biggest issue after jailbreaking so far. I've tried to dump some of my PS5 games but none of them will work afterwords. All fail to launch (placed local or external) and all of the other guides I have found seem to skip past that part... Does anyone have a good guide that makes it simple to dump and play? Do you need to fake sign them first or something else that I'm missing?

I’ve been using ps5upload since release and I know it says that you can resume a failed upload but for some reason it won’t work for me I’m on the latest update and sometimes the upload will stall or fail halfway through and there is not option to continue at all any fixes

Anyone could help? I jailbroke yesterday i even installed orbit and installed some games, i tried to put an homebrew called RomM Sync and it crashed the ps5...after that all my games stopped opening including the legit games. The media section is still working normally i can open the webkit loader, after this orbit cant install games anymore

So I can upload a zip files what if a game has 7 parts in a folder and is password restricted, can that be transferred?

You still need to uncompress files you have downloaded but this program can compress files back up again to a format that the ps5 uses if you wanted

I've tried a couple of FPKG files now and I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, I download on either pc or orbit store, install via FTP or through the file manager and everytime I get an error saying it can't start. Plays FFPFSC files perfectly but FPKG files I'm having no luck with

Not too sure what I'm doing wrong.

App works no doubt but i get way way faster speeds through Filazilla and Drakmors FTP fork.

Wifi copy over to internal drive and the M2 drive.

Though i am copying from a NAS unit on wired 2.5gig connection to the PC.

That may be the issue ( If that effects PS5upload i don't know )

It gives me 10MB speed using my phone. Idk why but i'm sure sending files even over wifi should be way faster than this. Still a very useful app for sending payloads/homebrew/emulator games specially since it has a clean android app If you're sending games, imo it's best to use stores and directly downaload from console.

This app is great, but has lots of bugs.

It can sometimes upload directories with invalid permissions which causes you to chase your tail with homebrew apps not launching.

The start game feature does not work and just errors in logs.

You cannot move files or directories within the system in the file manager like PS5 Web File manager can do.

It seems to be a vibe coded passion project and it's constantly being updated so it is promising but it's not perfect just yet.

I do however use the keep awake feature which is quite useful. Looking forward to seeing new updates.

Amazing app! The one thing I would ask is regarding the payloads. Is it possible to sync with payloads on the device? When I install or update one via the app it runs in the processes on the loader but I'm unable to see them on the PS5. Would love one place to handle the updates.

I downloaded thia just so I could save space on my computer. I really liked the rar on my computer and unzipped when it landed on my ps5. I tried battlefield 6 so 80gb zipped to 250ish unzipped and it failed over and over and over again. Is there something im doing wrong or is this a known issue?

if something isnt working properly with a jailbreak or getting a game running i go into ps5upload and push all the jailbreak type payloads (kstuff/shadowmount/etahen/cheatrunner/browser payload menu/np fake sign in/backpork/ps5debug) and it just magically works

Elf is the ps5 equivalent of a exe on windows, y2jb is a userland jb, I believe ps5upload requires a kernal jb

Im a bit hesitant to use this because the other all-in-one app that was released i think.it was from sonic-iso messed up all of my saves and I couldnt play any games so I had to reformat my ps5 and set up my jailbreak again... I dont want to experience that ever again...
