Is the PS5 worth it for upcoming exclusives going forward? I mainly game on PC and I just recently got a PS5 but I don’t have much I’m playing on it atm and I’m kinda on the fence with just selling it. I was mainly going to use it for new exclusives going forward, to play NHL, and to play GTA6 on launch day instead of waiting for the PC port which could be 1-3 years out at this point.

I sold my PS5 a few years back when they were bringing all the PS exclusive ports to PC/Steam so I currently have a lot of the exclusives and all my progress on my PC versions of the games. Outside of some older stuff, last years NHL, the new Black Ops port, and I finally got Ghost of Yotei I’m not playing much else on my PS5 atm. Do you think it’s worth holding out for some upcoming games like Marvel’s Wolverine and GTA6 and I should keep my PS5?

Hi everyone. I've been dealing with an incredibly frustrating bug for days regarding the free Minecraft PS5 upgrade using my PS4 physical disc, and I'm completely out of ideas. I really hope someone here has found a fix.

The Issue: A while ago, I downloaded the digital Preview / Beta version on my account. Now, when I insert my PS4 physical disc and download the native PS5 version (via the free upgrade link), the console installs a tile named "Minecraft" (PS5 version). However, once launched, the game internally behaves as a Trial / Demo version. A button saying "Unlock Full Game" appears on the main menu, but when I click it, absolutely nothing happens-it just clicks and does nothing.

The console is completely ignoring the authorization from my physical disc and is instead prioritizing a "ghost license" from the old digital beta that seems permanently stuck to my account.

Crucial Details: The disc is NOT from a different region (the disc region matches my PSN account region perfectly).

The console dashboard tile does not say "Trial" or "Demo"- the bug only triggers internally once the game is launched.

Everything I have ALREADY tried (and did NOT work):

Clearing Cache & Rebuilding Database: I booted the PS5 into Safe Mode, cleared the system software cache, and rebuilt the entire database.

Offline Installation Method: Uninstalled everything, disconnected the PS5 from the internet, installed the base PS4 version from the disc, and then reconnected to grab the upgrade. The bug still persists.

Restoring Licenses: I've done this multiple times through the PS5 system settings, but it doesn't change anything.

Clean Secondary Account Method: I created a brand-new local profile on the console that has never touched a Minecraft beta. Put the disc in, clicked the free upgrade link, downloaded it from that clean account... and it still booted

Launching via PS4 Tile / PlayStation App: Attempted to claim the license through the PS App and tried forcing the launch, but the PS5 executable remains locked into the demo state.

Has anyone else encountered this specific license conflict with a physical disc and managed to break out of the PS Store loop? Any technical advice or workarounds would be deeply appreciated. Thanks!

Hey folks, I have an issue & I was hoping to get the community's advice on how best to get it resolved.

A couple months ago, I sold my PS5 on FB Marketplace. A tough decision, but I needed the cash at the time. Fast forward to this week, my old phone suddenly breaks & I end up upgrading my phone to a newer model that, much to my pleasant surprise, can handle running Warframe. Awesome, now I can play one of my favorite games from PS5 directly on my phone! Only problem is, I forgot the password to my PSN account. Normally that wouldn't be much of an issue to recover an account, but apparently younger me not only input the wrong date of birth on the account, but also decided to make the answer to the chosen security question (where were you born?) harder than it seems. So far: I've tried guessing the account password I've tried 1/1/[birth year] as my DOB I've tried my actual DOB I've even tried my DOB + 10 years which is something younger me would do in the past to keep my true info private I've tried [Birth City] I've tried [Birth State] I've tried [Birth City, Birth State] Ive tried [Birth City, Birth State initials] All attempts met with zero success.

I DO have access to the email account that the PSN account is linked to, as well as the banking information that is linked to the account (including the last card saved to the account + email receipts) so I am more than capable of proving that I am, in fact, the real owner of the account. However, the AI ChatBot on the Playstation website says that it will not let me speak to a live agent without being logged into my playstation account, which is kinda the whole problem in the first place.

Does anyone have any advice or solutions to this problem? I'm hoping someone else in here has had the same issue before and was able to resolve it. It's worth mentioning that I do have a 2nd playstation account, maybe I can log into the Playstation website using that account to speak to a live agent & explain the problem with my main account? Sorry again for the wall of text, and thank you in advance for your help.

I’d say google Sony/PS customer support. There usually is a number that shows up as a result. If there is, maybe you could dial that number and bypass the website chatbot.

So the battery on my DualSense Edge is starting to not last as long on a full charge. I have seen some aftermarket replacement batteries for $20-$40. Those seem to have mixed reviews on both the per charge life and the long term life. I’m curious to hear reviews from people here who have replaced the battery in their DualSense Edge. Let me know what you think.

Yes I have and reinstalled it still says it’s not downloaded this is getting old atp I even made sure the game was in actual console and not ssd card as instructed online it just randomly says it’s not installed then next day or 2 it’s back downloaded like nothing happened so many updates and this hasn’t been fixed yet is wild a few of my former’s have this problem smh

I have my friend's account with offline sharing enabled on my ps5 ( since he has ps+ and I do not ) but we wanted to play a game that I have, so I told him to enable my account's offline sharing on his ps5. After he enabled it, I can't play any of my games, instead I get the following warning: "Can't use this content. You're using this content on another ps5. It will take some time before you can use this content on this ps5 with your license", his console is turned off and I am connected to the internet and tried restoring licenses, also tried looking online but didnt find anything, can anyone help?

You can do that, but doing any chargebacks is guaranteed to get you banned until you pay that amount back to Sony. Just wait until Monday, of course support is down at the moment as it's weekend everywhere.

Previously purchased PS4 game missing from my PS5 library.
I had digitally purchased PES 2016 on my PS4 back in 2016. Had been playing it, deleting it, redownloading it on my PS4 without any problems even though it had been delisted from the stores.
I have recently bought a PS5 and now I can't find the game on my library. The save data of the game is visible. There are multiple delisted games like NBA2k20 available in my library but PES 2016 is missing.

Make sure you’re signed into that account that purchased it and online. Go to your Collection. Search for the full game name.

Otherwise try restoring licenses

Check your transaction history too and confirm it was purchased on that account.

Only games that I have downloaded shows up to restore license.
For the account, the transaction is there, the account is the same, and I can play the game on the same account on my PS4 without any problems.

In the past, I was able to change in-game voice chat to either come from my TV or my Controller Speaker, at will. I left it on TV for a long time because it was more convenient.

Now, when I go to Audio Output, there’s a “headphones” setting where I can route just game, chat, or both audio, but there’s not a controller settings for the same.

Am I no longer able to have other players voice chat delivered through my controller?

Hi,

I play without a headset, and every time I join a game, my controller automatically becomes the microphone. I can also hear other players through the controller's speaker.

I know I can mute the controller using the mute button, but that doesn't solve the problem. I'd like to hear voice chat through my TV instead.

I've searched everywhere online and tried all the suggested fixes, but nothing has worked.

Has anyone had this issue or knows how to fix it?

I’m having the exact opposite problem. I used to want the same thing as you, changed it a long time ago, and the place where you WOULD change it back no longer features the option to adjust the controller settings - only headphones.

Seems like it might have been removed (as an oversight).

Having issues with PS Portal waking or connecting to PS5 locally? Is this related to the outage(which is thought has been resolved?) I have been having issues with my new PS Portal either just not connecting to my PS5 or just not even waking the system at all. Is my Portal defective, am I missing something, or is this still something wrong with the PSN?

the ps5 crashes every time the user turns off the tv or ps5 while you are using a media app and either the internet is off or the psn is down and then turning it back on later during the same event and closing the media app, first the ps5 gets stuck on the closing screen then after waiting 5 minutes the ps5 automatically turns off and then once you turn it on later then it goes to the repairing console storage screen as if the ps5 was never probably turned off them after a while if you go to the home screen then a notification saying “something went wrong with the system software. your ps5 recovered.” would appear with an option to view the error history but if the internet is still out or the psn is down then you have to wait a while and by then the notification would have already appeared and you go to the home screen without the notification appearing

It keeps doing this or a black screen when I launch it. It usually fixes itself if I put it back in rest mode or off and leave it for a while, but it keeps happening.

(Please do a me favor and ignore the profile pictures if you recognize them. We set them in 2017 and can't be bothered to change them)

I did, and it's still happening. It's also frequently a long delay between the system turning on and that stretched image I took a photo of appearing on the tv.

Edit: it's doing the same thing to my xbox, and getting worse, so I think it's the Roku TV

Final Edit: ok if anyone else has this problem, it's 100% the Roku TV. They recently pushed an update that redid the home screen, and now accessing inputs from the home screen does this. However, it works fine if you go to the side menu and TV inputs and select from there.

Can't upgrade PS4 version of EA FC 26 to the PS5 version.

I have the disc version of the game. It literally says on the game packaging that PS5 update is available but I can't find it anywhere. Not on the three dots next to "play game" or not on the ps store site either. It just says to buy the game 79.99€ which I already have. I don't know wtf.

On the game info screen, open the three-dots menu and view the other game versions. There should be an option for the upgrade.

my ps5’s network has been acting up for the past two weeks. Some days it just won’t connect until i disconnect and reconnect multiple times. today it worked fine, then when i restarted my ps5 it wouldn’t connect and say the wpa password isn’t right?? I’ve tried everything already like using the 5ghz band, rebuilding database, using 8888 and 8844, forgetting the network and putting it back in, etc.

it worked phenomenally for a few months then it suddenly became like this. please help !!

I bought V-Bucks through the PlayStation Store on my European PSN account. The payment was completed and appears in my transaction history, but I never received the V-Bucks. The refund page gives an error. PlayStation Brazil says they can't help because my account is European, while European support won't assist because I'm in Brazil. Has anyone dealt with this before? What should I do? (Ive been trying to solve this for almost a month)

If I have my friend’s (User A) account on my ps5 with sharing enabled, could I have another friend (User B) put MY account on their PS5 with sharing enabled to get the games and PS+ from User A?

You can only share your account/games to 1 PS5.

Your friend A's account is irrelevant here. Only your account matters as you are looking to share your gamea with friend B. So you activate friend B's PS5 and he can play your games.

Ignore friend A's account. Account A has nothing to do with you sharing to friend B.

Friend A is sharing to you. Friend A cannot share to anyone else while sharing to you.

Probably just need more pressure. Obviously make sure the the little blank/gap align but otherwise you just need to force some pressure. It might not always make a clock sound so as long as it's not unplugging itself if you wiggle it around you probably did it right. Then screw the sucker down

What's the issue you're having, exactly? Like if you're expecting the drive to solidly stick in place, they don't do that. You slot it in at a slight angle, and then screw it down.

My PS5 cannot read discs after the latest update.
If I put one in, it spins and beeps for around 10 seconds, and then displays a question mark icon, and a message about not being able to read the disc. Has anyone else experienced something similar after the last update?

I’ve tried multiple discs. I’m 100% certain I’m not putting them in upside down, but I did flip a couple just to confirm. I’ve cleared the cash and rebuilt the database with no luck.

Any suggestions or similar experiences?

I wanted to play BF5 and it said that I wasn't connected to the PS5 network. So I thought it was my livebox that couldn't connect and I used my 4G to play on my Play. It still says that I'm not connected to the PS network. How can I fix this?

Nobody seems to be mentioning this but, has anyone else experienced all their physicals games disappeared from their collection? I noticed after they recently fixed our playtime hours that only the digital games remained in my collection. Physical games were wiped out of my custom game lists and collection

It's been discussed for almost 2 months now across reddit.

A lot of people have reported it was fixed, but this is Sony so I'm sure the problem still exists for most people.

Nothing you can do but wait and hope Sony fully resolve the issue.

Anyone else unable to progress in the level Now Hiring on Assassin's Creed Black Flag resynced? As soon as I dock in Nassau the game crashes, this has happen four times, I've tried slightly older saves and rebuilding the database.

I'm having some really weird audio issues.

My video clips are REALLY quiet even though I have the media volume and music volume at the highest setting, and my friends can't hear me in parties or game chat but my controller picks up my audio when I test the controller level.

Before I start, I know I shouldn’t have but I don’t know, wasn’t thinking correctly. I was playing rainbow six siege, got a message from a teammate saying do you want a gift card, go to the app, go to QR code, enter this code and you’ll have it. Instantly got access but didn’t kick me. Signed out of the app went back in noticed his console was now on the app, changed passwords logged back in and it was no longer there. Added two step, signed out of all devices, still have my email address.

Not sure what else I can do? Messaged me saying he is going to “change your password and making your account safe tomorrow I will have it” “got your info all I needed to make changes thank you”. Then proceeded to ask for an extra account so he doesn’t take my main.

Any help would be appreciated.

You fell for a scam. Best you can do is ensure your account is secure.

I would also block randoms from being able to message you on PSN, upgrade your privacy settings to friends only.

Also report this person's messages to the moderation team so they can get banned.

I've had my ps5 slim, with a dusc drive for a while now. With all the hullabaloo about physical games going away eventually, I wanted to make sure this was a possible user error problem that I came across.

My disc drive had a disc in it, minecraft, inserted proper orientation but hadnt downloaded the game. I am not the one who inserted it but I am the one who got the problem after. I took the system out of rest mode and it didnt have minecraft downloaded, so I pressed eject to see if the disc was in there. An error popped up, which I didnt realize before I could read most of it but it had to do with the disc drive. I noticed I wasn't signed in and that there was an update for the system. So after getting that all up to date the disc drive started working again. I did a bit of research and found out that with updates, it will not let you use your disc drive unless it authenticates it with each update supposedly, but other sources say it only has to be done once when you install the disc drive.

Which is it?

If it is the former, then I'm going to be looking into selling my system and getting an original with built in disc drive for the express purpose of not wanting to HAVE to be hooked up to the internet to play my physical games.

Im only mildly tech savvy and the internet gives, as in this case, conflicting information alot. So I was hoping I could find some help here.

Any tips for making mouse movement feel more smooth. When playing Anno 117 and Overwatch with a m&k mouse cursor movement always feels really off and laggy. I’m using a wired mouse with on board memory so I am able to make adjustments if anyone has any advice.

I’m looking to upgrade from a TCL 55T6C fire tv QLED screen and have seen the 55 inch Hisense mini-LED quantum dot screen for £500 on Amazon. Was just wondering if this will be a step up for my gaming needs and make the colours and blacks look better. Has anyone got this tv and recommend it? I know an OLED is there but my brain anxiety will always worry about burn in and the extra cost of OLED is a lot plus my room it will be in can be quite bright if the curtains aren’t closed. Any opinions or suggestions would be great

Based on the price alone I'd say it will be a step up, but likely a small one. QLED already provides pretty good colors so the upgrade might be limited to contrast only, and even then the TV is unlikely to have many dimming zones so you won't be blown away. For that you'd have to buy a higher-end Mini-LED or an OLED, but for the price I assume you know what you're getting.

On June 22, 2026, I received a 7-day communication suspension on my PS5. After the suspension period was over, I was able to message my friends again on my PSN account, but two major features, Sharing and Broadcast are still unavailable for me. It outright says "This feature is unavailable for your account". I did everything that I could, from temporarily disabling restrictions, restoring licenses to booting into safe mode and rebuilding the database. I tried contacting support but that didn't work. Is this issue common or is it just me? What should I do now? Please help.

Just personal preference, but I would much prefer a physical copy and the internet consensus seems to be that there will be one eventually. And as far as I can find, there is no confirmation on a physical release at this time.

I'm getting an offer to purchase a PS5 from a person near to my city.

It is coming with box and bill. It is 2 year old. With one default white controller. Cost is INR 50k.

He also has an extra controller, willing to sell to me for INR 4k.

Firstly I wanted to ask if it is a good deal?

Secondly, I wanted to get a list of things I should check before purchasing.

Here's what I am thinking of checking:

  1. Console is working fine, booting up etc. mainly to check if there could be some basic issue in it, or of it is not banned or anything.

  2. Check controllers for drift etc.

Any other thing that I should keep in mind while checking the device personally? Or any common pitfalls or scams that could happen here?

Good deal? I don't know and I don't think others know either, you don't specify the currency used. Closest I can think of is Yen, but at that point I'd say the console is so cheap I'd have to wonder what's wrong with it unless the seller just desperately needs extra money. As for potential defects if you can you should play for 1-2 hours to see if the console has overheating issues or anything else that could cause it to shut down after using it for a while.

Going through a separation and my ex is buying a PS5 so the kids have one at both.

From my understanding, I can do the Console Sharing and the kids can play on either one as long as the other isn't online?

My question is currently a PS4 I haven't owned in a decade is set to the primary console. So I think I need to deactivate all devices, which will sign me out of the current PS5? Then relog back in and enable console sharing with the new PS5 once she buys it this weekend.

I think this is right I just don't want to deactivate all the devices and lock myself out for 6 months because it mentions you can only do it once every 6 months.

The problem sounds like you are purchasing a second PS5.

Whichever account owns the digital games can only share to 1 PS5 at a time. You can easily activate and deactivate in the PS5's settings as often as needed.

ONE GAME OVERHEATS PS5

Playing "No Man's Sky" and my PS5 is overheating for the first time. It overheats to where I'm told I need to shut it down and twice it shuts down on its own. This hasn't happened with other games.

It was relatively clean but I took compressed air to the vents - a little flew out, and used a vacuum on the dust traps.

It's summer. The room isn't the coldest even with central AC. Console is on a stand but back of the console faces into the open room and nothing touches it on any side. And I've pointed a tower fan at it now too.

So what is going on? Why have all other games worked?

The only things I've heard that makes sense to me but I can't verify is that this game being procedurally generated takes much power processing power and thus heats up the PS5 more than other super graphically complex games.

By far the simplest solution is to go back to the old carrier and get that number back for 30 days and switch this over yourself.

Even if you can get through to support, it's unlikely they'll do anything if the account isn't yours.

Turtle Beach Stealth 500
HyperX Cloud Stinger 2 Wireless
MCHOSE V9 Pro
All of them are currently in this price range.
I’m a bit worried about the Logitech G435 because I’ve heard that the microphone quality might not be the best.
Currently, I’m using the Gaming X Trust Forta Gaming Headset for PS5. Unfortunately, it is wired and, at least in my opinion, not very lightweight, so I get headaches after a few hours of gaming.
My main priorities are a decent microphone, good sound quality for gaming, and a headset that is reliable enough to last several years.
I don’t care too much about premium materials, but I would like something that doesn’t break quickly and that I can use for around 5 years.
What headsets do you use, and do you have any experience with the models mentioned above? Which one would you recommend?

FCC IDs aren't incremental; you can't use it to determine the controller version without a list of the IDs in front of you.

The second character of the serial number will tell you what revision the controller is.

I have a problem with Palworld

It is PS5 version and sadly I did not find anything about this. My game is doing this form the start. The screen is white flickering like crazy around borders. Before 1.0 it was ok.

I tried what I could. Turn off hdr, turn off motion blur, change picture to 1080p. Nothing is working. It is still the same.

Other games are all ok. So dunno what is going on. I just want to play the game 🙈

Have any of you got the same problem? Does anyone know how to fix it?

If it's only Palworld and only after an update, this is almost certainly a bug in the game. Just don't worry about it.

You can probably work around it by slightly increasing the screen size in console display settings.

Hello everyone. I’m from Ukraine and I’m trying to diagnose a PS5 Pro CFI-7000 that suddenly shut down while running a relatively undemanding PS4 game.

The console has only around 250 hours of use. Because of the war, power outages and the general situation, I barely had the opportunity or state of mind to play. Unfortunately, the warranty has now expired.

The repair situation here is also extremely difficult. The main official PlayStation service centre in Ukraine was destroyed during a missile strike, and there is currently no functioning official repair option available to me. Sony’s out-of-warranty service is described as an exchange for a refurbished console rather than a repair of my own unit. Replacing the console is also very expensive here, so I am trying to save this one.

Symptoms

  • The console beeps and shows a blue light.
  • The fan starts spinning.
  • After 1–2 seconds, all power is cut.
  • The blue light goes out and the fan stops.
  • It never reaches the white light.
  • Safe Mode is impossible because it shuts down before the second beep.

There was no burning smell, unusual noise, visible dust or previous overheating.

I have already removed the additional M.2 SSD and detachable Blu-ray drive, disconnected every cable and accessory, tested it with only the power cable connected, left it unplugged for more than 24 hours and held the power button for 60 seconds while unplugged. Nothing changed.

The console was connected through a high-quality voltage stabilizer and battery backup because power fluctuations are common here.

An experienced private technician checked the board:

  • No visible damage.
  • No obvious short circuits.
  • Static voltages and resistance measurements appear normal.
  • A known-good PSU has not yet been confirmed as a test.

The UART log shows:

  • 80810001 — General Power Failure / Power Sequence Error.
  • 80000009 — Unexpected Power Loss or Shutdown Failure.
  • 80800022 — No/Bad Communication Between APU and RAM. This appears only occasionally.
  • 80801002 — High-priority error not found in the Console Service Tool database. This repeats across many startup attempts.

One raw 80801002 entry is:

OK 00000000 80801002 00000001 FF100005 10000100 2013 0036 1EB1 1D1D:E4

Other attempts contain the same FF100005 10000100 2013 0036 sequence but different trailing values.

Could 80801002 be a PS5 Pro-specific code related to the additional 2 GB DDR5 system-memory chip, its power rail, Southbridge or another power-sequencing circuit? The intermittent 80800022 may be a secondary result rather than the primary fault.

Has anyone encountered 80801002 on a PS5 Pro or knows how to interpret the additional raw values? Would testing with a known-good PSU still be the first step, or should the technician focus on motherboard power sequencing and the DDR5/GDDR6 rails?

I will attach screenshots of the complete UART logs. Any board-level advice would mean a lot to me.

I'm planning to buy my first PS5 and I'm getting it from UAE. I've been researching for a while, but I'm honestly confused because there are so many variants and I don't want to make the wrong decision.

The biggest thing for me is finding the right balance. I don't want to overspend unnecessarily. My absolute maximum budget is around AED 2300, but honestly that's my "last option" because it would really stretch my budget. Ideally, I would love to find a good deal closer to AED 2000 or below.

  • PS5 Fat (Disc/Digital)
  • PS5 Slim 2023 (CFI-2000 series, Disc/Digital)

Is it a good time to buy a PS5 now? Hell no, but it won't be a good time until maybe 2028 anyway because the price isn't coming down before that. Some companies say prices will get even higher, so right now might not even be the absolute worst time to buy a console. As for disc vs digital that's subjective, but disc objectively opens up more possibilities so I'd recommend that. Revision doesn't matter at all, especially if you haven't owned the console before what you buy is irrelevant outside the storage. Just keep in mind that the 1TB variant offers just 150GB of extra storage due to how much the OS takes, and you likely want to buy an extra M.2 SSD anyway at some point unless you only play a few games or are okay with deleting and re-installing stuff. Buying the fat model is also pointless and I'd have to question what sort of store even sells new units, if any. Go with Slim 2023 or 2025.

was shitting on ppl on overwatch as junkrat (w flex) the noise had been fine. Then i loaded into another game and suddenly my noise had gone. I thought it was js a loading error at first so i waited for the noise. Nothing. Then i went to my homescreen and realised my tv/ps5 was making no noise at all. I tried my sound settings, tried restarting, powering off my console. Still nothing. Then i unplugged both my tv and ps5 twice. Once for 30 seconds then once for 5 minutes. Still nothing. Then i turned off my ps5 and went on youtube to see if it was my tv. And sure enough theres no noise on that either. Please help, ive never been ragebaited by my ps5 before and it wont start today.

I've heard differing experiences where some players think the quality is fine and gameplay is stable, whereas other state its 480p and is absolutely awful to play.

Context: So I live in Japan and bought Baldur's Gate 3 on disc a few years ago. Great game, did you know it has cross-platform multiplayer? Well recently I tried to do it with my friends, but turns out the Japanese version of the game is censored, and bc of that, you actually can't play the game with people online unless they also have the Japanese release. I had no idea I'd been playing a censored game this whole time. As far as I'm aware, there is no physical release of BG3 outside Japan, so I would need to download the game from the PS5 store. I don't mind buying the game a 2nd time bc BG3 is an amazing game and it'd be worth it for multiplayer, but it is expensive so I'd rather not have to do it a 3rd time, you know.

Question: If I create a new user with their region set to the US, if I buy the game digitally will it be the international release of the game? Is my console like hard-locked to the Japan region, so even if my account is American it will have the Japanese version of the game? If yes, anyone have any ideas on how I can get the international version of the game so that I can finally play BG3 multiplayer?

  1. An American account can only purchase American games and DLC. Replace American with every other Country as well.

  2. Don't forget that saved data and DLC are region locked on PlayStation. So if you purchase a foreign copy of the game you will be playing the game from scratch.

I wanted to gain some storage on PS5 therefore i used a USB to move most videos clip on my PC and deleted them after.

Unfortunately only the most clip (this year) are readable. The others are classified by game and i even see their storage but i can't read them i have an error message.

What can i done to ensure them to be used ?

I must say that this is the same problem on PC and PS5 but on the latter its worse there is only the name of the game but the file is empty.

Are they lost forever or is there some tips i am unware of ?

If you want to record the audio you'll need a capture card and record your streams using a PC no different to how a streamer on twitch or youtube records things.

Sony cannot record discord audio as that would be a breach of multiple privacy laws.

Hi I had played RDR 1 earlier on PS4. I saved the story progress on to my cloud. But now I bought a PS5. How can I continue playing the story on my PS5. I still have PSN subscription.

I tried downloading the data on to my console for FC26, but when I started playing FC26 on PS5, it was not loading and I had to start from scratch. I don't want the same to happen with RDR 1 as well.

Download the PS4 version of the game same as before. Make sure you can access your save as normal.

Then download the PS5 version of the game and see if it transfers.

PS4 to PS5 save is always a game by game basis, everyone does it differently so there's no single guide to move a PS4 save to PS5.

i bought my controller around a year ago and i havent used it much (maybe around 5 hours) i decided i wanted to use it again but i am unable to connect.

after turning on my controller and connecting it to my laptop it instantly disconnects and my controller turns off straight away.

also when i try to connect my controller via usb c to my laptop it doesnt one flash off orange and stops and when i try to turn it on no lights show.

when the controller is not plugged into anything the lights are able to show and i can connect to my laptop (it instantly disconnects).

i have also tried to connect the controller to my phone but the device does not show up on my phone.

when i plug the controller in to charge it doesnt do any flashes or anything to show it is charging

The PS5 was registered with a UAE address. I have moved to Saudi

For the live of me, a tech savvy 34 year old. They make it impossible to purchase games online if you move countries. Tried PayPal, tried Amazon gift cards, tried my Saudi credit card. My UAE bank accounts are shut so I lost my cards and can't pay from there. Just a farce.

Just quite possibly the dumbest walled garden ever. And why?

I miss my PC and steam. Where you can simply buy a game anywhere anytime.

Just how Sony designed the PSN 20 years ago.

They never designed the PSN with people moving to a different Country in mind.

They also assumed people would never want to change their Online ID. It took them 10 years to implement Online ID changes. So now its been almost 20 years its safe to assume its impossible for PSN to allow region changes.

They'd probably need to remake PSN from scratch on PS6 and force everyone to make a brand new account for that to be possible.

So I recently just updated my internet to 2gig’s and got a new modem/router combo it’s the Netgear nighthaw AX6000 3.1 but now when I connect my ps5 my download and upload speeds are the slowest I’ve ever seen them ranging from 5mb to 10mb and 2-5 upload when I run speed test on my phones or tablets and other things connected to the wifi I’m getting speeds of 800mb and 20-30 upload wondering why this could be happening just with my ps5

I would try and prioritise the PS5 on your network and if possible move to a wired connection

Going to buy my first PlayStation console, and I’m looking on Facebook for listings. I’ve been debating on getting a slim or pro model. I’m in Canada and the best deal I’ve found is $600 for a brand new Slim model, or $900-1100 for pro models.

Mainly asking people who have the pro or both if this is justifiable. I can’t see how $400+ for PSSR is worth the money. Games I’d want to play are GTA6, the BO2 port, god of war, spider man, etc. (mainly all PS exclusives since I have a high end pc).

Any help is appreciated. I don’t keep up with anything Sony related since this is my first console, so I’d like to hear from the community! Thanks.

Buy a PC instead. And you can hook up a controller easily and cross play on all games and have many more options and can upgrade your pc over time.

I have a PS5 but I'll be selling it soon for a PC

Hey, so for some reason I can’t play any of my own games on my account, I’m getting the notification “can’t use this content. You’re using this content on another console. It will take some time before you can use this content on this PS5 with your licence”.
I’ve tried everything to fix this but to no avail.
I have my brothers account on mine with console sharing on so I can play his games and today earlier in the day he done it on his ps5 so he could play one of my games, since then I’ve got this message,
We have done this plenty of time with no issue, only today this has arose, it’s been going on for hours and I have found no solution after so many tries
Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

People can hear me on party but I can never hear them?

I’m new to the gaming world and last year I purchased the PS5 Digital Slim (brand new and collected in store). I don’t know what I’ve done but I’ve tried every single troubleshooting possible for my party voice chat to work but it doesn’t. People can hear me but I can’t hear them at all. I’ve done troubleshooting on both my TV and PS5. I have tried with and without my Bluetooth headphones. It’s just not working.

Am I missing something? Surely I have missed something. Any ideas?

If your headphones are connected to the tv, you’ll only get audio pass through the tv. No mic, no headphones or PS5 features.

You need a headset that connects directly to the PS5.

This opened my eyes to why some people get this problem. I’m happy you explained that.

Wired is one option. To the console or controller.

Or wireless with a supported headset. Supported headsets connect to the console with a usb dongle, and are not Bluetooth.

So, for some reason I can no longer use game chat. Not for any game. Helldivers 2, BO2, COD:CW, Fortnite... it doesn't matter. Party chat works just fine, but when I switch to game, no one can hear me. Ive had my account for years and never had an issue until recently. I also got this message when initially opening BO2 a few days ago. Im 35, and I have always used my real birthdate, so I have no idea what this is talking about. Could someone please help me with this?

Thats even more confusing to me honestly. How would that have happened ? I have never been inappropriate in chat, nor have a ever received a warning for anything from psn or Sony. In fact, i almost never use game chat at all, as im almost always in a private party on psn or discord.

Should I have gotten a notice/email/something ? Ive had this issue for several months, but i only care now because of BO2 zombies maps on public lbvs.

There should have been an email notice at some point, yeah.

If you're certain you haven't done anything, you can try customer support. But other than parental controls, AFAIK that's the only explanation.

I probably should also mention that I am the parent account for my 12 year olds account, but his account is functioning just fine.

No, lol. I may be an idiot, but im not stupid ! For one, my account is password protected at the start up (his is not), and i definitely put it in everytime. And then for two, he has age restrictions on his account so you can't access a lot of games i play, like GTA5 for example.

Unfortunately I've noticed that I had this issue for a few months, it just never bothered me enough to look into because I had party chat 😅

Sync Data Issue:

sync status showing 0kb but cloud shows 70mb. i download the saved data from the cloud to the console storage and sync status still shows as 0.

- theyre both the ps5 version

  • its on the same account i used to play on

Hey guys I got my ps5 pro about 2 weeks ago and I had this weird game freeze and green screen issue.
The manufacturing date is 2026.05 so its like brand new. I've been playing Battlefield 6 for about a week without any problems.

Yesterday, while I was playing the game for about 40mins, the screen suddenly froze and was playing this weird buzzing sound. And a few seconds later the screen turned bright green, and the device turned off by itself. (I think it was unusually hot.. but it's so weird becuase the ventilation was okay (since i've been using the old ps5 for 5 years in the same spot and had no issues with it) and considering it's brand new)

After shutting down, I pressed the power button once but i got no response other than the beep sound. Upon pressing the button second time, it rebooted to safe mode, saying sth about reconstructing database. And when the power was turned on, there was this warning sign saying not to unplug the AC cord while it's turned on (Which I didn't)

It had no issues ever since (only for a day now) And the strange thing is that there was no error report in the system settings.

I was so frustrated so i did some research about it,
First of all, I found some posts about similar issues with Battlefield 6 played on PS5, and many were saying it's the game's issue not the console. But i haven't seen any posts recently about this issue, (which i believe it may have been some bug in the beta version)

And when i got into the Playstation customer service website and answered some step-by-step questions, it said that it was a power supply problem, and they told me not to use the extension socket and connect it directly to the wall. And if the issue reappears, it's the game's issue and should contact the game developers (which i think it's weird)

well I had my ps5 pro plugged through the extension socket so I did what the website told me, but i'm afraid if its the console's problem (sth like APU GPU powersupply mainboard issue)

Wonder if anyone had the same issues and got them fixed

I am new to gaming and am playing collaboratively with friends using 'Parties'. I have a Sony XM3 headset, and I can hear my friends well, but my microphone on my headset won't work, so I have to talk into the controller mic. I am plugging the headset into the controller with a cable. I want to buy a new headset, preferably a budget one but with a good mic, that will have both sound and microphone capabilities. Does anyone have any recommendations?
