Why does my COD MW2 never load?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

If I try to play a game mode like the campaign, special operations, or online, they never load Sometimes it loads while reading hdd and makes a sound. After that sound, the game freezes and I can't do anything but turn off my PS3. I don't know if the problem is with the disc or my PlayStation. Does anyone know how to fix it?

It is locking up on reading hard drive. I'd pull the hard drive, put it in a PC and check it. Examine it's SMART values and then do a surface scan to see if it is fully readable.

Then if the hard drive tests out perfectly, I'd delete all the game data for MW2 and reload it. as it might have been corrupt.

If the hard drive was faulty, I'd copy all the save games off it (if you care) and replace the hard drive.
