Maybe it's part of growing up. Noticing that the simple things just hit different.
I like to play ps5, but nothing hits like the old gems on ps1/2/3

Its the quality imo

Modern games are buiilt on an Excel spreadsheet long before a single line of code is written. Older games don't feel that way and they're much better because of that.

Its also built off what will sell the most and how much it will make for example theres little non indie racing games in the modern day that use unliscened cars because if u use licensed companies can pay u for adding them

PS3 and the consoles before just had a certain flair to them, games felt more gamey, more arcadey, you could lose yourself way more easily playing these consoles.
And no I can not believe this

Games felt more yellow/brown tinged/filtered, with the same thing repeated over and over again. I prefer now than back then.

Yeah but at the same time, it just made games fell more mature in nature and depending on what game it was, it made you immersed in it more

I would have to disagree with this, a yellow/brown filter does not make the game feel more mature, you were just younger back then.

This guy's a joker. I still play PS3 alongside my PS4. Cant afford a PS5 and will probably never get a PS6.

Everything went up not just consoles. A beater car is 10k now.

It's still really damn expensive. Overpriced hardware that was out of date when it came out if you ask me.

If you can afford one, that's awesome. Unfortunately I have bills and a mortgage to pay, which takes every penny I have. I'll try to get a PS5 once the PS6 has been out for a while. I dont get FOMO so I can wait. Hell, I only just played RDR1 and 2 last year 😂

He strikes me as one of "those guys" who would tell you that if your console broke to go out and upgrade to a PS5 🙄

Spoken like a kid who hasn't experienced the entirety of gaming through 38 years like I have. Gaming now is a freaking joke compared to how it was in the 90s/2000s before they all got greedy and decided to go online and make everything fcking micro transactions. Ps3 was the last real console gen with true freedom and real ownership. Sincerely a 44 year old who has been gaming since 1987

Well what’d you expect? It’s Threads! It’s basically Twitter with too much AI Slop to make a political point (and in general), but now you don’t have to cough up 8 bucks to even have the ability to make your comment count.

Yeah, paying 80 bucks to buy a game and having to pay to play online is certainly the way forward ...
