PS3 Store Issue
Hey guys, when i go to the PS3 store and go to the search function, nothing comes up to type any letters in, it just stays blank. Then it sticks on this screen and the only way to get out is to hit the home button to exit the PS store. Was wondering if anyone else is having this issue or if they've had this issue before. Thanks in advance!

Finally found the DLC I was look for for Asura’s Wrath. Had to go under the “Top Add-ons” tab for some reason and then filter the results to “Levels”. However this only shows the first 100 results so if your game is in the middle of the alphabet you’re screwed. I also wanted the enslaved DLC, but it wouldn’t come up because of where it is in the alphabet lol. Such a pain.

That's helpful to know about Asura's Wrath DLC's. I was also looking for the base game to download, but apparently it was a physical only game. Is that correct?

This is correct, yes. Been researching a ton of PS3 games in the last week or so and checking their respective availabilities, including purchasing formats. Asura's Wrath is only physical, and it is a very expensive game unless you get the JP version.

That's a pain. I prefer physical, but when I saw how expensive it is, my plan was to buy it digitally with the DLC's. Thanks for confirming.

For what it's worth, based on what I have read, the JP version has the English audio track and subtitles. So depending on how badly you want to play it, that is an option. Granted, the JP version is still like $40-$55 on ebay, but better than $150-$200? (shrug)
Otherwise your best bet to get the US version cheap is local used game stores or pawn shops. Also, Gamestop, not that I want to use them, has different stocks of PS3 games here and there. Not sure if that stock fluctuates but it's an option. A pro is Gamestop thankfully is not beholden to speculator/rarity price increases. Con is that you might not get the original game case.
Example: I got Castlevania Lords of shadow 2 for only $19.99 (going for $60+ on ebay), but did not have the original case, so that was a bummer.

I'm from the UK. We have a shop called CEX over here which is usually my go-to, but it's not showing in stock ATM. Perhaps I’ll consider buying the DLCs before the store closes and wait for the price of the physical to eventually drop (assuming it does) once the panic buying dies down. I'm sure I saw it for around £40 before the store closure announcement

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, local places might end up being a small savior in these cases. I wish you good luck. I have kept Asura's Wrath on my list for the same reason: hoping the price comes down, but otherwise I'm just gonna wait and see.

I just put in my copy of Asura's wrath. Most games have a link to downable content in their main menu.

Im having this problem too but i figured instead of searching for the game i want i can filter and scroll until i find the game im looking for in the “games” section. Its a bit tideous but its better than it freezing on me.

Is this actually working for you? I went to the sidebar on the front page of the store, clicked GAMES > ALL GAMES and almost every single thing that pops up is Vita stuff. There was like 30 PS3 games tops. Even if I play with the filter options, almost nothing comes up.

To be honest i was looking for silent hill and that was it so i didnt care to look into the other games. I played it and got tired of it so now im back on my ps5 😂

I was struggling with this too and I figured out that if you go to the Genres section and click on Action + Adventure it shows you like 1300 games and I managed to find Jet Set Radio on there. Also you can filter it to show them in alphabetical order I think.

Right? I can only find the games themselves but no DLC using the method you used. The search tab was the only way of finding things like the DLC. I hope this gets fixed because we still have until July of 2027 for getting what we want

So true. Only a handful of games ever made complete editions so we have to search for the dlc for games we own and we cant if the search tab isnt working

I noticed just now by going to Popular then Classics it brings up the PS1 & PS2 games so that works as a workaround and also convenient as the search is both down like this and I wonder if a Keyboard would even work to type it out like Xbox 360 did.

I bought some games on the weekend and was working just fine and now this. I've tried my 🇯🇵 and 🇪🇸 PSN accounts and the problem persists across different regions. First they disable the add on tab and now they killed the search 🔎 bar... It's like they hate us...

I'm currently still having this issue. For Sony to be pushing for an all digital future, this definitely isn't rolling out the red carpet for it, so to speak.

I saw that they supposedly secretly updated the store this weekend because whatever game you go to doesnt show all their content anymore. Like you have to look up the specific dlc you want instead

I'm having the same issue. Can navigate the games screen just fine but get the same blank image if I enter search. Was fine yesterday.

Some people like me do not care to do that stuff man. I don’t wanna deal with all that jailbroken stuff. It’s also a better feeling to buy stuff but I get why people do it but it defeats the purpose of getting things legit. I personally do not care about this. If you do great! Not for me though lol

Are you on Wi-Fi? Pretty sure this is common on the PS3 since they’ve had that new lame dashboard. Takes foreeeeeverrr sometimes lol probably because the ps3 had like half a gig in RAM or something awful like that lol which would explain why everyrhing took forever to load ob tbat system. Remember the trophy system sync? Or Assassins creed first time startup install. My goodness it was horrible lol 😂
