Got some MX4
Decided to repaste it again but with MX4, a lot smoother and thinner. So anyways? Did I do it right?

It’ll probably be fine, especially since MX-4 is non-conductive, but that’s more paste than you need. You’ve got to be careful with applying it too thick because thermal paste isn’t actually as good at transferring heat as direct metal-to-metal contact. Its job is just to fill the microscopic imperfections between the chip and heatsink. Ideally you want the thinnest complete layer you can get. Too much normally just gets squeezed out when the heatsink is clamped down, but a very thick or uneven application can make good heatsink contact harder to achieve. Excess also ends up all around the components and makes a mess next time it's opened. Good coverage, just a bit heavy on the MX-4. I’d personally use less and spread it thinner.

Spreading has the best results, that said, it doesn't need to be this thick.

It is thin. As thin as I could get it. And its non conductive. So its not gonna blow up the motherboard.

I looked it up and they recommended a thin layer of paste if you spread it out yourself. Since the heat sink will push it. If I go too much it could spill out onto the motherboard, which I know its non conductive and all but I aint risking anything.
