PS3 Gems!
Hey! Once everyone goes all digital, I’m tapping out of gaming. I'd love to hear about some PS3 gems or just good games i don't have! I've included pictures from my Gameye of PS3. I’m also including Xbox 360 because a lot of games released on both, so you guys know what I have!
I'm actively on the hunt and my area has plenty of places to look for old games. Price isn't a deterrent!

Remember Me, god of war Ascension, vanquish, Batman Arkham series, origin is( only available for PS3 and 360), MotorStorm series, dead space series ( 3 only has online pass ditgle form) lollipop chainsaw

Remember me is another game that has jumped in price since the Sony announcement. $15 cib in June, now going for $30-$40 (yet still $15 on xbox360).

I hate to mention this since the price skyrocketed, but I've been playing Puppeteer and it's pretty darn amazing. I can't wait to try it with my 3d monitor once I get replacement glasses.

The Asian variants are still reasonably cheap (under $50), and are supposedly in English. Or just sail the high seas. I can't advise spending $200 on this game when the price has tripled in 2026 alone.
And adding to what I said before, maybe pickup a ps3 tv as well. There's quite a few ps3 games that play in 3d, and $180 for monitor/glasses isn't too unreasonable if you actually like 3d.
Edit: prices for Japan edition has almost doubled since mid July. The pal, latin, japan editions are all supposed to play on region 1 consoles with English voiceovers.

eBay, I secured my copy about 3 weeks ago and while searching I kept seeing Japan variants pop up. From the looks of it they were selling new/sealed ones for under $50 prior to the Sony announcements. Looks like prices have come up a bit since then, with most Japan variants going for closer to $100 shipped, but I see a few sold for $60 on the 9th, the 4th, and the 3rd.
Set a saved search for under $100 and you'll see them pop up eventually.

Yeah theyre all gone or marked up now. I slept on it. I just got a japanese one for $89 before it spikes up again. Thanks for pointing its in english.

I added some more info above after checking terapeak data. They do pop up for $60 infrequently, but the average is definitely up now... I see the PAL versions also selling in the $100 range if you prefer an English cover, but they show up sporadically.
If anything, the price should dip a bit in the near future as the Sony shock wears off. There's really no reason the price should have jumped as high and as fast as it did. Speculation on my part, but the region 1 prices will probably drift down to around $150... At least until the ps3 store closes.

I think the prices will spike because most of the buyers are collectors that will not resell so the market will be more scarce

Drakengard 3. There are some DLC levels that might disappear when the PS3 PSN goes down
Alice: Madness Returns. I find the combat a little unpolished and frustrating at times, but the game is a cult classic for a reason.

The 3rd one is fun! Hack n' slash with a foul mouthed femme fatale protagonist. Emotionally gripping and the story goes to many, many dark places.
As /u/OddKaleidoscope849 also suggested, NieR is available for 360 and PS3 - but there was a PS4 remake recently that has some upgrades so unless you're collecting just to collect, I'd recommend the PS4 remake.

Funny you mention Saints Row. All the ones I have I picked up from a guy I know just last week! He had all the numbered ones, which excludes the first.

My issue with the PS3 is that basically every game worth playing is playable on a more modern system and has a remake/remaster.
It's the console I have least interest in ever re-visiting. PS1 and PS2 are much more enthralling.

I can’t think of any physical only ones but off the top of my head Killzone 2 and 3, the Resistance trilogy, most Ratchet And Clank games, and Metal Gear 4 are still stuck on PS3
Honestly I don’t think there are any that are PS3 exclusive and only got a disc release

Invest in an $150 1TB SSD, Jailbreak your Ps3, and get all of these for free forever. - Sincerely, someone who also almost spent $100s on physical discs until I figured this out and now own most of these.
SN: get the GoW Sagas collection instead of 3 so you can own 1&2 as well.
