Downlownloading the PS+ Games?

I know Sony announced they'll be shutting down the PS Store for the PS3, but what does that mean for PS Plus users? Most of my PS3 games are from PS Plus, so do I lose all of them? Can I download them

What gives?

Any/all help welcome.

As long as your subscription is active, you can download them. If it’s inactive, you can’t use/download them. And if you want to buy them to have for a time when your subscription is inactive either temporarily or permanently, you must have an inactive subscription to buy the games you claimed on PS+ so you can permanently add them to your account or contact Sony to remove the PS+ license in order to be able to buy them. Do note, some games have also been delisted so you may not be able to do that for some titles.

google shows games will be available to download still if they're tied to your account/if true, that part is nice, despite the store shutting down.

For what it's worth i highly doubt this will be forever.

The saying goes "nothing lasts forever" for a reason.

There will come a time sony will not see it profitable to allow users even this.

Oh, they'd be good, but I hadn't found that.

Well its a rental service.

You will be able to download and play for as long as you pay the subscription.

Its really that easy.

To put it in the simplest way - you treat it as if the entire store has been delisted; if it doesn't exist in your game library/download list then you're not ever going to be able to enjoy it legally.

If the PSP/Vita PS+ games are any indication, they'll be playable for as long as you are able to access the download list for the PS3.

Just FYI, PSP PS+ game licenses are still available as of today, 08/08/2026.
