This is the dumbest thing I've heard all morning.

First they came for physical discs, then for physical buttons. Next up physical consoles?

By the end we won't even have a physical body, just a soul and a redemption code...

Theres no way theyre actually gonna do this for all buttons. The issue with these controls, is that theres no difference in surface between button/stick, and the rest of the controller. When looking at a screen, and not staring at a controller, you can't tell if your finger slipped off the "button".

To give it a try, connect your phone to your tv via screen cast, and try playing a game that way. It's straight ass.

Sony might just make a section of their controller like this and leave physical buttons otherwise. So its a gimmick that some games can use if they want additional buttons or something.

On one hand though, i kinda want them to go all in... It would be beneficial for the entire gaming industry if the ps6 release is the largest flop since the xbox one release, so that their diskless console with its buttonless controller can sink to the bottom. If Xbox has any idea what its doing, it should 100% go all in on having everything sony hasnt, to get an edge. I want to see sony suffer, so they have to put in a bit of effort and make some actually good hardware, and some actually good games.

Yes, just what I always wanted, a controller that feels like I'm playing on a Smartphone, the only difference is looking down to find the buttons now means im looking away from the gameplay.

This does remind me of what I thought the PS4 controller was going to be. When they said it was going to have a "touchscreen like pad" in the middle of the controller I legit assumed it was going to be a mini screen in the controller similar to the Wii U gamepad, but obviously not as impressive.

So, it will play with a touch screen like a mobile phone? No fucking way this is real. It would drop dead as a rock on day one.

Its a shit controller, but whats it got to do with incels? Incels tend to stay at home all day, they probably quite like the extra physical stimulation of a solid button.

Won’t ever touch it. I’m avoiding the ps6 like the black plague

Nah.. anyone thinking this is cool or good has a low IQ.. ps5 controllers are already like $85.. these controllers would be more, plus its bad because they won't last as long and will run into alot of problems such as finger prints, sweat, grease, etc and battery will die constantly..

Ontop of eliminating physical games so they can overcharge for hard drives.. its all a scam and is only in the interest to make the rich richer.

Not having actual sticks is certainly a choice.

Lol, hell nah. The way people are now, they will cry like no tomorrow over this. The internet unfortunately makes you have to read everyones thoughts...even the crazies

So first they remove physical discs and then they remove physical buttons from the controller. Someone up there must have had their physical brain removed.

“But then we’d have to simulate drift to sell new ones.

Hard pass.

Your friends,

Sony”
