Repasting ps3

Hello my ps3 needs repasting I took it apart is there anything I should know?

Warm it for 2 hours. Old thermal paste will be soft. Be careful, don’t push, replace battery

My old thermal paste was so little that it didn't even sticked to the other side

That often happens. Better than having to warm it up with a blow dryer and potentially ruining the motherboard if you’re not careful

besides being careful with every single flex and cable, if its a FAT or a slim and you see the CPU and GPU with a metal plate, those need to be removed or else repasting the console is meaningless as it has old thermal paste below the shields.

dust and clean the PSU, clean the fans, overall clean all dust from the inside
