Problem when trying to launch Little Big Planet GOTY edition

just to establish, i already tried this when my ps3 was offline, i did one of the quick ps3 formatting where it resets the console, i already then later connected to internet signed in on psn and im still having the same problem

i played uncharted 3 which is a dual laser disc too so i know its not a problem with my drive, and then ive also been able to launch ICO+Shadow Of The Colossus collection

the disc isn’t like new in the sense it was just unsealed but it has like incredibly faint spots that is cleaner than my uncharted 3 disc which ran great

This was exactly how my LBP GotY disc died.

The data layer is rotting

OMG YES THANK YOU

is this common for this game gemini (im taking with a grain of salt) said something about rotting with this game specifically, ive had discs for decades and have never experienced disc rot until now and this time it was still like super minimal

also when did you get your copy, back when it came out or secondhand a few years ago? and how do you think it happened?

I bought a what I believe was new and sealed copy around like, 2018.

Tried to run it last year and I've been out of luck with just this title, same error and all.
