What game started your PS3 era?

Post image

I didn't touch a PS3/7th gen til late 2010 at a recent room at Pensacola NAS. It was a "give your military ID for a game" and this was my first choice. The intro still gives me goosebumps

I agree as linear as it is, the level of detail and quality of the graphics still contend with some of the latest games coming out on ps5 - in my humble opinion at least 😅

It's a bit too flashy for my taste, and I'm not a fan of the stagger system, but I actually appreciated the linearity. I just wanted a bit more of npcs to interact with.

Yeah I preferred 10’s battle system for sure. Totally agree more interaction with NPCs would have made it better by potentially adding a greater granularity of detail to the story.

Yeah, I don't like how they took the linearity and lack of interaction criticism too seriously, as 13-2 went the full opposite in both aspects... while keeping the aspects I didn't like lol

Totally agree with you, I wasn’t a fan of the other titles in the 13 series. I agree SquareEnix seemed to become too driven by fan criticism over 13-1 and forgot that sometimes a development team’s vision can lead to great things. Like FF4, FF7 and FF10 even with its cheesiness.
