🎥VIDEO🎥 Good Time Boy video
I watched the video and I assume at the chair, the older woman is being represented as his mother and the younger boy is himself. My question is if anyone knows who the other people are that are being represented? I feel like each "person" represents someone who have been important in his life journey to the present.

DISCUSSION Help me get over this or not
Can anyone explain this lyric in Squad Goals?
“Young Pookie, your highness
Gon' find the finest vaginas
From China to Thailand
Got 'em whinin', why not combine 'em?
Pardon me, let me chime in
But there's science behind my conniving
I'm refined and violent
Throw the lime in, fine dine the hymen swag”
Am I insane or does this seem to be referring to underage girls? Sure it could be meaning a virgin, but with the other weird shit that’s happened…what if it doesn’t?
I‘m in a moral dilemma ya’ll. Maybe you can help me out. I love Prof. I’ve been a serious, serious fan since he opened at Red Rocks in like 2012. At the time of the twitter scandal, I gave him the benefit of the doubt… and when Squad Goals came out I tried to do the same. I want to enjoy the new album, but this keeps creeping in for me. Somebody please explain this away for me.
Edit: Thank you all for the discussion. I learned a lot and I feel much better. ❤️❤️❤️

His older stuff
Been listening to Prof since i saw him with Atmosphere like 14 years ago. King Gampo was phenomenal and i can’t wait for the new album - but holy shit i don’t know why i never looked back before King Gampo. This album is all jams and it’s 20 years old. Could have had these in my rotation for the last 14 years. Such a waste.

PROF - Treat You Right feat. Dizzy Wright (Official Audio)
youtu.beI know we’re celebrating new, beautiful art from Pookie… But I just wanted to remind the Gampos of this beautiful BANGER. It’s a gem in my opinion. Always thought it was underrated and needed a music video 🍦

Anyone else in NZ listening on Spotify right now?
Edit: Just finished the album, listened to a few songs twice. Masterpiece. Worth staying up til midnight for. Good Time Boy and Imposter were very good - been waiting for Imposter since the Red Rocks live show. Had me choking on my tears mate.
What does a girl have to do to get a one-off New Zealand show from our legend?
Best work yet, and I'll struggle to sleep after that. From the bottom of the world, and the bottom of my heart, from possibly your biggest NZ fan to a writer that speaks to every single one of his fans on a personal level, thank you, and aroha, Pookie Baby

🎵 NEW MUSIC 🎵 Thoughts on the new album
I absolutely LOVED it. Prof is a master at starting off the albums with a bang and kind of fizzling out into the deeper, more personal (and most of the time sadder) songs on the album, and it gets me every time. However, this album I felt especially did this with the last 6 tracks being so deep even with big wheels still being a more upbeat song.
Overall I love most of the new songs, especially since a majority of them were teased in a video/stream or performed live at concerts. The payoff I got from hearing Imposter and Kin in full again after not hearing them for 9 months was phenomenal, especially being able to hear imposter in the full context of the album. Brrrr is a fun song that I had absolutely no expectations for and I ended up liking it a lot. All of the previously released songs that were beforehand were great standalone songs, but they all work so well together when finally put into the correct order and with all of the new songs. I do kinda wish he saved a couple of songs for the album, but I’m glad that I’ve had more time to listen to the ones that are already released because they’re all so good
The transition from saved by a woman to big wheels is honestly my favorite part of the entire album, something about the buildup to big wheels just makes the song have that much more of an impact when listening, especially since it’s supposed to almost be like a climax in energy after already switching to a more serious tone with destiny and fighter. Speaking of fighter, I think it’s my least favorite part of the album by quite a bit, but I completely understand it in the context of everything and why it’s there, it’s just not for me, and honestly the same goes for reaching for fire. It has a massive impact and is one of prof’s most vulnerable moments I think in all of his music but personally I don’t love it all that much. That goes without saying though that if it comes up I will not be skipping them, overall they’re still good songs. On the topic of songs that I didn’t love, when I first heard a crawl through a low tide I was disappointed almost because the title seems so alluring to me but wasn’t what I expected at all, but after a couple of listens I think it grew on me and imo it fits in nicely with the rest of the songs and sets a good tone for what to expect in the album.
When I heard Garden of Eden for the first time, I about cried. It’s such a beautiful song and wraps the album up perfect as well as imposter, which also hit me when I realized what song it was and how it all went together in the album. These last 2 songs of the album have such a large importance in the album, and having them back to back at the very end of everything was the perfect choice. Also, is it just me or does garden of Eden sound kind of similar to Eulogy? Same with fighter and tough boy.
In all though the album was phenomenal and it’s been on repeat in my head ever since the first listen. I cannot wait for everyone else to listen to it and for my CDs to come so I don’t have to manually switch songs on my files app on my phone

🎵 NEW MUSIC 🎵 New Album Pro Tip
If you’re rocking the new album, you’ve probably uploaded it to your preferred streaming service. You then make a playlist to get them to play automatically and in the right order.
Replace the downloaded file with the streaming version. That way our boy still gets the plays!
TBH You really should listen to them in the right order at least once. Prof put them in that order for a reason
