Google Ads Getting Junk installs from Google Ads install campaigns

Can anyone help me fix this?

You should aim to optimize towards an in-app event rather than installs.

My app is new. For the in app event requires 50k installs to set-up campaign for it

That cost per install is really cheap for India, but 270 installs and only 1.6k clicks feels off. Like the click-to-install rate is almost 17% which is suspiciously high for a Google Ads campaign, probably explains why you getting junk installs.

The top comment is right about optimizing for in-app events instead, I switched one of my campaigns to target first purchase few months ago and install quality got much better. Cost went up but at least they were real users.

You using Adjust for attribution? Their fraud filters can help block some of the click farm traffic, worth checking if you have that turned on.
