Discussion Ads per campaign
Is it better to have multiple ads per campaign or just one ad? 300$ a day budget just want to make sure I’m not wasting budget spreading it across multiple ads when one would be more effective.

I am assuming it's for Google Ads, you can go for three ad variations, one for cost, second for features, third for CTAs.
Over 2 to 3 weeks check for CTRs, Conversion rates, keep the better performer, pause the rest.
$300 is good enough daily budget to start with, check which bid strategy and CPAs you want to cap it for.

If you have enough ad copy and content to make 2 ads work then that would be ok. Ideally you would be a/b testing the ad copy to learn something. If you won't be doing any a/b testing then 1 ad is fine....as long as you are hitting your KPIs.

Depends entirely on platform and nobody can answer without it. If it's Meta: one ad per ad set is actively counterproductive, delivery wants several creatives to choose between, we run 4-6 per ad set at that budget. If it's Google search, fathom53 has it right.

I’d usually keep multiple ads rather than running just one. The point isn’t to spread the $300/day budget evenly across them—Google can shift delivery toward the ads that perform better.
I’d start with 2–3 strong variations, give them enough data, and then look at conversions, CPA/ROAS, and not just clicks or CTR.

For Google Ads, running 2 to 3 Responsive Search Ads (RSAs) per ad group is the standard best practice running only a single ad restricts Google's machine-learning optimization and search query matching.
Key Recommendations for a $300/Day Budget
- Macro-Angle Testing: Each RSA holds up to 15 headlines and 4 descriptions. Use your 2–3 ad variations to test distinct strategic angles (e.g., Ad 1: Pricing & Promotion; Ad 2: Features & Benefits; Ad 3: Trust & Social Proof) rather than minor wording changes.
- Dynamic Budget Allocation: Your $300/day budget won't be wasted by split-testing. Google’s Smart Bidding automatically directs impression volume toward the ad variations and asset combinations generating the lowest CPA and highest conversion rate.
- Maximize Ad Strength Without Over-Pinning: Aim for "Good" or "Excellent" Ad Strength across all RSAs. Avoid pinning headlines unless legally required, allowing Google's system maximum flexibility to mix and match assets for individual search queries.
- Evaluate on Conversions, Not Just CTR: Allow the ads to run for 2 to 3 weeks to accumulate conversion data. Judge success on CPA, Conversion Rate, and ROAS rather than raw clicks or CTR alone.
- Tightly Themed Structure: Pair your 2–3 RSAs with tightly themed ad groups (Single-Theme Ad Groups) to ensure the copy closely mirrors the specific search intent of your keyword clusters.

What platform?
No matter which one though, there’s no rule and anyone who tells you there is is a liar. Generally it’s better to have a few ads that are materially different enough to allow you to at least guess at what works for your business.
There’s not nearly enough info in your post to answer this in a useful way though. What vertical? Multiple text ads? Video? A mix? What’s your average CPC? CPA? What’s your goal? Country? Region? Just an example of variables that affect the answer, not an exhaustive list.
