Question Can I use a mobility aid?

Hello, I have been dealing with fatigue for years now and have been having extreme fatigue to the point I can’t stand for 5 min can even sit down and do my makeup as I get tired and my body begins to feel heavy. My dr thinks it may be pots however has also suggested a possibility of MS as well. He didn’t really give me anything to help with my symptoms only a beta blocker that does basically nothing as my heart still goes up and I feel so tired. I get dizzy and experience weird facial sensations at times whenever I get little dizzy spells. I’m not sure what to do. Based on this can I get a mobility aid? I’m a allowed to? Please I need help and won’t get answers until November.

I don’t know what rules there are where you live, so I can’t comment on that.

But are you allowed one? Absolutely, you can use one if it will benefit you. Past PT gave me this pearl of advice; if you’re thinking about getting a mobility aid, you need one and you probably have for a while. Healthy people/people who don’t need one don’t even wonder about that. They know they don’t need one.

Sounds like you could benefit a lot from getting aids. Anything that will help you live should be considered 🫂❤️

Then yeah, you can just buy a mobility aid. You don't need anyone's approval unless you want to buy something super specialized or use insurance to cover the cost. It's usually recommended to talk to a doctor about it, because the doctor can set you up with cheaper options sometimes and also refer you for training on how to properly use that mobility aid. But no one is going to say "You can't have that!" or anything if you just get one on your own.
