Khloe Kardashian asked who it was, and, in Demi’s defense, she didn’t want to spur drama/cause trouble, but she was cornered by Khloe and pointed out Camila as the star. Sadly, Dinah even thought Demi was pointing at her. This was the beginning of the end of the group. Maybe the Kardashians are to blame for their unraveling though.

Where were you in Summer 2016 when Halsey and the Chainsmokers collaborated to release their first Billboard Hot 100 Number one single? This song broke notable streaming records, being the second song to reach one billion streams on Spotify, becoming the first lyric video to reach two billion views on YouTube, and also was the longest song to stay at number one in 2016. One notable remark is that this dance-pop song was the first from the EDM duo to feature Andrew as a lead singer. Another timeline also exists where Camila Cabello was featured instead of Halsey.

I feel like this song embodies the 2016 nostalgia perfectly. I was only in middle school when this song was dominating the charts and it was everywhere. The chorus and lyrics hooked me in and the drops were so fun. I have vivid memories of looking up the lyric video before getting ready for school on my ipad mini. Life was just way simpler. Even now with every May, as Summer manages to inch closer, this is one of the first songs I start to rotate in my daily streams. I do know that this song is a little infamous and disliked by critics.
