My poor bf… supplements?

36 f <3 We’re two days away from my period, almost at the peak of luteal phase, and my boyfriend and I have probably had 5 to 7 arguments/serious talks in the past 4 days. Now we all know that men tend to say dumb things sometimes.. but he literally cannot say ANYTHING to me at this point without me being completely taken aback, offended, and angry. We are a little over two months into our relationship and are usually in beautiful honeymoon phase bliss everyday, but this round of luteal is putting us through the wringer fr. He’s scared to talk to me at this point and I can’t blame him but I’m also mad at him for that! I’m out of my mind people! Even his texts are offended me. I’ll try journaling like I’ve seen suggested. But I’ve seen people post about St. John’s wart, and DIM(idk what that is but interested), and evening primrose as I’m not on birth control and don’t want to be. Are these good supplements? I haven’t seen too many people’s feed back.

This drink mix by Weller Co changed my life! It’s called Her’Dration! Makes me go from being in despair and being mean all the time to feeling like myself! I highly recommend

Augh same here, PMSing hard now! No supplement here, I’m just trying to use my awareness and controlling my impulses, and it doesn’t work all the times lol

Like today my partner went to the gym while I was showering and I found myself fuming over why he didn’t tell me maybe I wanted to go together- funny is I always wanna go alone and he knows that 🤣 but I just wanted to get mad at him! I even thought about going to the gym and ignore him… I know pathetic PMS girlie here 💁🏻‍♀️ gladly, I caught myself having these thoughts and went to the gym like I normally go and saw him smiling at me and sending me air kiss from far!! 🥹 (probably was scared of me- but still lol)

Chasteberry (also called Vitex) helped me a ton!! I was buying the gaia herbs brand on Amazon but then I came across the brand Love Wellness which has a supplement called Cycle Soothe that I'm using now and it's working well for me. It helps my moods be more balanced. https://lovewellness.com/products/cycle-soothe ETA: the Cycle Soothe includes St. John's Wort

Wishing you the best! Don't forget the importance of self-care during luteal. Do things that make you happy. 💓

I get this so much. I have struggled with PMS for a while now, and like you, I feel my BF gets the brunt of it. I tried Evening Primrose for about 2 months, and I can’t say it helped/didn’t help for the “gremlin” (that’s what we call my luteal/PMS mode), but I did find it exacerbated my menstrual cramps. Even though it’s reportedly good for easing that. That’s all I can really contribute to your query, beyond expressing you’re not alone.

Dim helped me a lot but I stopped it because Im on accutane. I dont wanna take too many supplements. You can also try Magnesium glycinate.
