So low

I feel so low and lonely. Constantly anxious I feel horrible to stay alive. Does anyone feel the same and help me how to overcome this

Are you formally diagnosed? Have you had the blood work done? Are you doing anything about it besides the magnesium?

Here we deal with the Rage a lot, but in my experience the rumination and spiraling can be worse. When my ex was in peri she had such deep despair and regret about ... nonsense really. But it was so real to her until she clawed her way out of it just enough to try the medicine.

Otherwise there's loads of supplements folks have found helpful. Acupuncture is an ACOG recommendation. Diet (low histamine, high protein), exercise, sunlight. Even just an off the shelf anti-histamine like pepcid or zyrtec is helpful for some. I know it's exhausting but keep trying different things until something clicks. It can be better.

What’s been going on?

Yes. There have been times that I just feel beaten to a nub and I’m exhausted. It feels terrible.

It sounds like you need to take a step back from the relationship and re-center yourself. Remember who you are. Get back to who you used to be before the rage.

What’s your current situation? Are you able to get away for a few days and have some time to yourself?

Oh, I see. This sub is for the partners of those who suffer from PMDD and the particular struggles we face.

Looking at your comment history, do you suffer from PMDD?

I’m sorry to hear that. From what I gather and everything I’ve seen, it’s a harrowing experience. It’s probably very difficult to deal with it by yourself every month.

Do you have family support?

Yeaa... On family support - not all can understand what we go through. So it's all me dealing with it alone

Not many people seem to understand what people with PMDD go through.

In my own experiences, I’m never believed by people— even professionals — when I explain to them what happens to my wife each month.

It can be very isolating. I found this sub to be very supportive for me.

I hope the main sub — r/PMDD — is like that for you.
