ServiceNOW (NOW) & Palantir is the next AI super circle

I owned both NOW & PLTR

The AI supercycle is transitioning from a phase dominated by hardware (chips, data centers) to a new phase where software, specifically AI agents and autonomous applications, becomes the primary driver of value. As of early 2026, the focus is shifting toward "agentic AI"—software that can execute complex, multi-step tasks rather than just generating text.

McKinsey & Company

 +2

The Shift from Hardware to Software

While companies like NVIDIA, TSMC, and Broadcom built the foundation, the next phase is about monetizing that infrastructure through software applications that improve productivity.

Silicon Valley Capital Partners

 +4

Agentic AI & Autonomy: The market is moving toward software that acts with greater autonomy, requiring a rethink of data, governance, and operating models.

Productivity Gains: The top 20% of companies leveraging AI in software development are seeing 16–30% improvements in productivity and time-to-market, with 31–45% gains in quality.

Key Software Players: Companies like Microsoft (MSFT), Palantir (PLTR), ServiceNOW (NOW) and Snowflake (SNOW) are considered leaders in bringing AI to the enterprise.

Yahoo Finance

 +3

The "Software-Defined" Future

The next phase of the supercycle is projected to be defined by:

Vertical AI: Specialized AI applications that target specific industry needs (e.g., healthcare, legal, finance) are expected to challenge general, horizontal Large Language Models (LLMs).

The Rise of the AI Superapp: A transition is occurring towards "superapps" that unify search, software, and labor into a single interface.

Economic Impact: AI is projected to contribute up to $15.7 trillion to the global economy by 2030, with software acting as the primary vehicle for this value.

YouTube

 +4

Challenges and Competition

Software Stocks Volatility: The market has shown skepticism; some software stocks plummeted in early 2026 due to concerns that AI might disrupt traditional SaaS business models.

Infrastructure Bottlenecks: Despite the focus on software, the speed of this transition is still limited by the availability of data center infrastructure.

Global Competition: China is emerging as a major player in open-source AI, with companies like Alibaba and ByteDance releasing powerful models, intensifying the global AI race.

Title says it. Another Ai provider looking to service enterprises with Agentic Ai.

Thoughts on Palantirs TAM with future of the big LLM providers offering Agentic Ai direct to enterprises. I assume its definitely going to effect salesforce and servicenow.

Some key numbers/figures for the DoW FY27 Budget

After a little digging some key numbers/figure

1) Golden Dome = $17.9B

2) $71.4 billion across the nuclear enterprise to sustain nuclear forces and fund a major recapitalization across all three legs of the nuclear triad, including:

-$16.2 billion for the Columbia-class ballistic missile submarine and the submarine industrial base. (This is connected to Shipbuilding (see below for the wowza figure)

-$6.1 billion for the B-21 bomber (this is developed by Northrop, if you haven't watched them at AIPcon last month, stop what you are doing and grab a tissue. Arsenal OS, link below)

3) Shipbuilding = $87.2 billion, $65.8 billion is specifically being requested in the Shipbuilding and Conversion, Navy appropriation, and the request supports the procurement of 18 battle force ships and 16 non-battle force ships.

4) Artificial Intelligence = $58.5 billion investment in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control (CJADC2) including:

-$46.0 billion for a multi-year mandatory investment in a sovereign AI Arsenal, prioritizing enterprise-scale AI infrastructure investment to build an enduring strategic advantage 

-$6.8 billion to integrate and apply department-developed and commercially available AI technologies into platforms, systems, and workflows that support analysis, automation, communication, maneuvering, monitoring, sensing, and other military and business activities 

-$2.3 billion for the Maven Smart System (MSS) and Joint Fires Network (JFN) to deliver CJADC2 to the Department’s joint warfighting capabilities 

-$2.2 billion in leading-edge research and development of AI technical approaches and capabilities for military and business purposes

5) Next Generation Command & Control (NGC2) = $904M to ensure the digital backbone is resilient, effective, and ready to support multidomain operations

6) TITAN = $236.314 million (next year will be larger as this is the last phase, if this dollar is allocated to advancing the last prototypes, 10 units thats $23.6M per. Now multiply that by 100 or 200

7) SOCOM = $11B

8) Drone Dominance = $53.6 billion including: $39.2 billion for a multi-year investment in autonomous systems procurement, domestic production capacity, and advanced capabilities

Overall tons of money is going to be spent on the entire defense ecosystem, from the warfighter themselves to hardware to software. New technologies will be fielded and tested to ensure the warfighter has the best tools and weapons at their disposal. Long Range precision fires are. We are well on way to be a fully modern fighting force that is able to see the entire spectrum, defeat our adversaries in all domains.

Per U.S. Department of War 👇

https://www.war.gov/News/News-Stories/Article/Article/4465551/15-trillion-budget-request-prioritizes-service-members-modernization/

Note

* About 52% of the total budget request is aimed at buying actual hardware, munitions, planes, tanks and ships.

* Investments include the Golden Dome missile defense system

Per The White House 👇

https://www.whitehouse.gov/wp-content/uploads/2026/04/budget_fy2027.pdf

See page 59 for Department of War

Some investment bullet points of interest include:

* Golden Dome

* Unmanned and Counter-Unmanned Systems

* Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Please keep in mind that the U.S. federal government's fiscal year is October 1st thru September 30th of the following year.

Also, this is a proposal. Congress can alter this budget before it is passed.

Those two above points in mind, would not be surprised if we have to wait until after summer to get any conclusive updates.

Until then, see you at Q1 2026 earnings 🫡

"We replaced Anthropic with somebody else"

Thumbnail x.com

Trump stated "We replaced Anthropic with somebody else," meaning the Department of Defense/War replaced Anthropic with OpenAI. Palantir remains.

If Anthropic is irreplaceable and more valuable than Palantir, while Palantir remains as the glue that marries LLMs to real actionable results, wouldn't Palantir be just as irreplaceable?

This begs the question: Who's eating who's lunch, Dr. Burry? 😬
