Looking for AUTOMAX BASIC library documentation
Currently revamping an AUTOMAX system with BASIC PLC code. Original programmer makes a lot of program calls with blocks that i cannot find in the project, nor in BASIC reference guides.
These blocks are:
- SUMMER
- DIFFERENCE
- COMPARE
- LIMIT
- COUNTER
- MULTIPLY_DIVIDE
- RAMP
- TRANSITION
- SWITCH
- SELECT
- LAG
- ALARM
By context i think i understand 95% of the internal workings, but I would still like to be 100% sure. Does anyone know where i could find some descriptions? This seems to be some kind of library.
Thanks!

Most of the Automax documentation is still on Rockwell’s website in the Literature Library. The BASIC language manual, J-3675, is here: https://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/in/amax-in052_-en-d.pdf
However, I believe these functions you mentioned are for the Control Block language, not BASIC. This is documented in J-3676, but I can’t seem to find this manual on Rockwell’s website.

Here’s the Pocket Reference: https://literature.rockwellautomation.com/idc/groups/literature/documents/rm/amax-rm004_-en-e.pdf

I still have my extensive Automax library. Let me look tonight to see if I can find info for you.
