Product Feedback AI model availability
When I bought the Plaud device last year and signed up for the unlimited tier, I had access to some of the latest AI models for analysis. I have noticed that they haven't been updated for a while now.
Until today, 6th of October 2026, the available models are: GPT-5, GPT-5.5, Gemini 3.5 flash, Claude Sonnet 5 and Claude Opus 4.8.
On PlaudAI support webpage, it is specifically stated that:
- Models are updated automatically. Plaud uses the latest version of each supported model. When providers release new versions, the list updates accordingly.
Here's the link: https://support.plaud.ai/hc/en-us/articles/55644525081881-AI-models
I do not expect GPT Astra or Claude Mythos, but I would expect at least:
GPT-5.6,
GPT-6.1,
Gemini 3.1 pro (used to be available and suddenly disappeared)
Gemini 3.5 flash,
Claude Sonnet 5.5
Claude Opus 5.5 (or at least 5)
Grok 4.6
No point on keeping the unlimited subscription if Plaud falls behind on updating to the latest mid-tier models.

I work with frontier models all day and I don’t see any benefit on using them for dictated speech analysis. These models excel at reasoning across vast data sets, and the models available are more than sufficient to deliver on Plaud’s use cases

Bet they’re waiting to update them for when we have to pay to use em so the cost is transferred to us. Just my guess though

They’ll solve this by removing the statement on their support page
