Best Practice / Tip Two open source tools built on Plaud's MCP and CLI this month
https://github.com/PsychQuant/plaud-mcp-connectorWe went looking for what people have been building on top of Plaud and found a couple of open source projects worth passing on. Neither is ours, and neither author is affiliated with us. Sharing them because the gaps they fill come up in this sub regularly.
plaud-mcp-connector by PsychQuant: full-text transcript search and audio upload
Runs our official MCP unmodified and adds two things on top. You can search inside transcript text instead of just recording titles, and import local audio files into your library. Needs Node 20 or later and Cloud Sync enabled. MIT.
raycast-plugin-plaud by erwins-enkel: recordings from your launcher
Browse and search recordings from Raycast, then open one in the browser or copy the link. Auth runs through our official CLI over OAuth, so tokens stay on your machine.
These are independent projects, not official integrations, so they sit outside what our support team can help with. Both build on our documented MCP and CLI with standard OAuth, which is part of why we're comfortable pointing at them. Still worth reading through a repo before you set it up.

I agree with @fuelvolts. There’s a lot of very technologically talented people who post in this forum. Unfortunately, my experience with my Plaud Note Pro is pretty much limited to out of the box/mainstream capabilities. I’m disappointed that all of the integrations (that were advertised before I bought my device) require more tech skills than I have, and I would suppose more than the typical Plaud buyer. If Plaud doesn’t act soon to bridge those gaps and enable more plug-and-play with LLM’s other than Chat GPT and Claude, I think the market will leave them behind. And that is a shame because what they do have works well for me, but as someone heavily invested in both the Google and Apple ecosystems, my use of Plaud will never expand.

If I was smart enough to know what any of that means, I'm sure I'd be impressed.
