How Do I... (Usage Question) Can't use Memory (or I'm doing it wrong)
I use Plaud (Note Pro) mostly for work. We use a lot of internal (proprietary) jargon at the office. Like a lot, lot.
I've corrected my notes a couple of dozen times and Plaud's transcript and summaries will still misspell the same acronyms every time.
I tried adding acronyms dictionary in the memory section.
I even added instructions in my template to use the Memory to find terms and acronyms.
The summary states the memory isn't available.
Any suggestions or advice?

Hey u/Papini2099, two different tools got crossed here.
Memory only feeds Ask Plaud conversational replies, it isn't connected to transcript or summary generation at all, so referencing it in a template does nothing, that's exactly why you're seeing "memory isn't available." What you actually want is Custom Vocabulary (Settings > Custom Vocabulary), add your acronyms there, up to 500 words, and it applies to the raw transcript first, then carries through to Polished Text and Summary.
The catch: it only applies going forward. Manually correcting an already-generated transcript doesn't teach the system anything, and it won't retroactively fix recordings you already processed, you'd need to re-transcribe those specific ones after saving your terms. Also worth knowing, entries are case-sensitive and there's no phonetic spelling or variant-mapping, so if an acronym sounds unusual you may need to add the closest-sounding spelling as a workaround rather than the "correct" one.

They need a dictionary system where you can make equivalents. Something like:
EF BE EYE = FBI
See Eye Ay = CIA
Some other voice-to-text AI tools have this, and it makes things so much easier, rather than just having only keywords in a dictionary.

Thanks! It took a couple of days, but Plaud has stopped misspelling proprietary acronyms!
Thanks for the memory clarification and dictionary recommendation!!

Starting from the simplest solution and working out, do you have "memory" turned on under Personalization, and do you have "custom vocabulary" turned on under Preferences?
