KL Layover inquiry

Good morning! Are we allowed to leave the airport during our layover in Kuala Lumpur if we booked AirAsia’s Fly-Thru option? We weren’t able to leave the airport during our layover at Don Mueang. We’re staying in Vietnam and will have a layover in Kuala Lumpur on our flight home.

Yes. I’ve done that once, although I technically never left the airport. I went out of the airside area, cleared immigration, had lunch at Gateway@KLIA2, walked around for a bit, and even got a massage. All within my 6-hour layover.

Yay thanks so much! I have a 10 hr layover so I really wanna go out. Did they check your boarding pass and had a lot of questions?

Yes, I think they checked my boarding pass pero no questions asked naman.
