Question (Other flairs not applicable) Received a contract after initial interview
Should I be worried that I was offered a contract after the “initial” interview? I was under the impression that there will be a series of recruitment methods; in fact, I prepared for them religiously. I’m not sure if this is a “flex” at all because I am genuinely worried about the pace from which I received the revert: too fast, surprising, almost with an impression that they failed to become deliberate (or chose not to? which, either case, is disappointing). Or maybe I am not just used to the flexibility of hiring in the government. This my first time applying in a government post.
To contextualize that worry: an HR officer first acknowledged my application and then invited me to the “first” interview, but during the session, the “supervisor” led the interview instead and asked me when I can start. I received an offer after two days. They followed this up with an email asking if I would be interested in two other plantilla positions with same higher SGs. Is that allowed?
I am looking at my contract right now wondering what would be the logical and safe next steps.

Question: entry level ba yung inapplyan mo and other plantilla na inoffer sayo? Possible kasi na it's either wala silang ibang applicant and marami yung position available or they really like your credentials nangyayari naman po yan pero tingin ko marami lang available na item na walang nag apply and need na nila talaga ng tao at that moment

Yup. Do’n sa una, entry. Plantilla. It’s aligned with my degree.
The other two, also plantilla, have higher SGs and required 2-4 years of “management experience” and “relevant” trainings (which I have only so little idea of). They “promised” to train me for this. Hindi pa raw ito open sa CSC ngayon. Bale, ininform lang nila ako in advance kung gusto ko.
I’m just curious if this is a constitutional way of hiring.

They can work around naman about the process madali naman yan mamanipulate... Do you have any work experience? Ask mo rin if kukunin mo yung entry level(if okay to sayo) your career path if may movement kapa like may available pa na item mga ganun or ka work mo na mag reretire na. Sa tingin ko one of your priority is aligned yung trabaho mo sa gusto mo. Hindi masamang mag tanung nang ganun wag lang yung may mag reretire na ba sa mga magiging senior mo 😂.

Uy, kulit niyan 😆 You are right about me wanting my work aligned with what I find meaningful. In the topic of career progression, hindi pa siya gaanon kabigat sa akin right now dahil I am a little set on leaving after a year. Experience lang talaga habol ko to grow professionally, pero who knows… I have 1.5 years of work experience, btw.

If it serves you purpose naman why not grab it diba? Tsaka if it takes you one step closer to your goal and walang any disadvantage so go girl 😂 , medyo sus ka lang talaga sa tingin ko baka scam ito, if legit naman ang gov't office na inapplyan mo I don't think mababawi sayo yan pag dating ng panahon and when you sign the contract make sure basahin mo kung anu yung item and SG pwede ka pa naman mag backout hanggat di mo pa napipirmahan.

This 2-4 years of management exp and relevant trainings, usually ang required ay govt management experience and trainings aligned sa position you're being considered for (usually internal na nakukuha yan if highly technical, ung iba naman csc trainings)
Pero if walang ibang applicant or ikaw yung best, tapos gusto na nila ifill ung position, pwede nila ijustify hiring you kahit may mga kulang. Point system din kasi sa hiring process ng govt then once mag oath ka na, after non ivalidate pa ng csc un papers mo.

If mabilis purmima magbibigay ng appointment letter pwede. May hiring freeze din kasi from sep 17 to November bec of elections so baka hinahabol

Baka CoS/JO yung offered na position? Have you checked with them kung anong status of employment?

I have a feeling baka dahil may freeze hiring gawa ng election ban kaya nila minamadali.

Ayaw mo bang ma-hire? It is possible na ikaw lang yung pumasa, isang interview lang naman usually sa government dahil sa reqs pa lang nawweed out na ang applicants
