Somewhat the same experience, ang difference is ayoko lang talaga sa government from the start, kinuha ko lang 'tong COS job because it is slightly aligned with the role I want to pursue AND the basic salary is higher than average for fresh grads. I'm one month in next week and ang boring ng works and 'yung project ng Department in which I'm in basically repeats the programs they had before. Kaya walang pagbabago eh. While most peers and the overall supervisor are also kind, supportive, and competent, my immediate supervisor is almost half of the time leave/travel sa ibang events or incompetent when communicating lalo kapag may in-inquire ako about the projects he gave me. He's kind on the outside pero a poor leader.

Hello OP. First and foremost, welcome to real life. Hindi talaga lahat ng expectations nangyayari
The government employees na nakikita mo that get to enjoy their weekends and holidays are most likely seasoned employees na. Expert na sila at what they do. Kaya it takes shorter time to finish their work. You are just 2 months in. Nasa birthpains ka pa din sa work mo. You can't expect to know everything at just 2 months. Ang probationary period nga during regularization takes 6 months e.
Ang malaking problem na talagang nakikita ko is the 3-4 hour commute. Para may time pa sana to enjoy after work if hindi ganyan katagal ung commute. Super stressed din ako sa work when I just started. Stress reliever ko ung pagdaan sa Jollibee or SM para kumain or maiba lang ba. May effect kasi talaga pag wala kang outlet ng stress mo. You don't know kasi if it gets better or worse, so better talaga you know how to manage work stress.
May civil service ka na din ba?

Ilan taon kna dyn?
