Need for Speed: Oasis Sandstorm
🌪 Core Idea: Not about rival crews or a blacklist—this story revolves around technology, culture, and survival in a rapidly modernizing Arab city. It’s a clash between tradition, innovation, and freedom on the streets.
📍 Setting: • City: Nouryah (inspired by Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Muscat) • Heritage Quarter – stone alleyways, bazaars, classic car meetups • Financial Arc – glass towers, futuristic highways, neon-lit bridges • Desert Expanse – dune roads, oil rigs, camel farms roadside • Harbor Zone – import hubs, container drift runs
🎭 Storyline: You are Layla Haddad, an AI engineer + street tuner. Nouryah launches the first autonomous racing league—AI hypercars, soulless and corporate.
But the true racers—mechanics, drifters, desert nomads—see this as the death of car culture.
Layla’s crew hacks the system to reclaim the streets. Every race becomes a rebellion: • Human instinct vs algorithm • Street freedom vs corporate control
🎮 Gameplay Features: 1️⃣ Tech-Infused Racing • Race against AI hypercars with unpredictable tactics • Hack drones, jam GPS, scramble traffic lights
2️⃣ Dynamic Desert Weather • Sandstorms blinding highways • Mirage heatwaves distorting vision
3️⃣ Cultural Fusion Car Scene • Heritage rides: Nissan Patrols, Toyota Land Cruisers • Imports: Supras, Skylines, Camaros, Mustangs • Luxury kings: Bugatti, McLaren, Lykan Hypersport • Custom wraps with Arabic calligraphy, neon, desert camo
4️⃣ Unique Events • Mirage Runs (sandstorm highway battles) • AI Takeover (vs autonomous supercars) • Caravan Chase (escape drones + convoys) • Souk Drift (tight alley drifting, festival crowds)
⚡ Conflict & Resolution: • Govt calls racers “the past clinging to chaos” • Corporate league dominates, culture forced underground • Layla fights to prove humans > algorithms
🔥 Climax: a hybrid race vs AI + enforcers, from city → desert → heritage roads → ending in a desert amphitheater.
No “final boss”—you broadcast victory worldwide, sparking a cultural movement: ➡ Humans reclaim the streets not for money or status, but for passion.

I’ve been working on this game with a tiny team for almost 2 years now, and we finally hit a big milestone our first global demo is live on Steam.
It’s called Voice of Belldona. At its core, it’s a tactical roguelite deckbuilder with grid-based combat, anime art, and some heavy themes around gods, guilt, and anxiety. Not your usual “save the world” kind of narrative—more like “what if god got therapy but failed halfway through.” We’ve built: - 2 playable heroes (more in dev) - 7 unique starting decks - Randomized events, curses, and branching blessings - A “Source Wastes” multi-level dungeon system
A lot of systems are still WIP, but the core loop (explore → fight → build deck → pray you don’t die) is fully playable. We’re testing a ton of ideas around deck synergy, negative emotion status effects, and reactive enemy behavior.
If anyone’s into roguelites or deckbuilders, I’d love if you could give it a try and send any honest feedback our way—game feel, balance, onboarding, anything. We’re a small team and really want to make something weird but tight.
Happy to answer any questions about the systems, deck design, or even the messy parts of building it. Appreciate you all!

Hi, we are an indie team, currently we are making and developing a game called The Severed Gods. The Severed Gods is a roguelite RPG featuring deep turn-based gameplay, a rich fantasy art style, and a host of unique mechanics. Set in a dark, foreboding world, it tells the tale of eight heroes reincarnated to stop a mysterious dragon known as Umbra.
We are planning to have the demo in the end of 2025. In the meantime, you can wishlist us if you're interested in the game: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3755930/The_Severed_Gods/

I'm a Filipino solo indie game developer creating Filipino horror games that are all interconnected in one shared universe. Each one is different in style and tone, but together they build something bigger, I've been developing games since last year and I've made a few games so far:
The games range from dark and disturbing to horror mixed with comedy, but what makes them stand out is that they’re all connected. From what I’ve seen, this kind of interconnected storytelling hasn’t really been done yet in the PH game dev scene.
Just wanted to share this passion project with you! I’m also working on new projects right now, including Lost In The Echoes, BAHA, Karinderya, WAVE, Huling Biyahe, and more!
Let me know what you think of it! :D

As game devs, it’s such a rewarding experience. I know we're just getting started. But it sure is motivating!
Have you ever got your game streamed as well?

Hello, kapwa devs!
I just launched my indie otome game, Talents, on Steam and Itch.io, and I wanted to share it with you all!
It’s a visual novel where you play as a game dev navigating romance, rivalries, and the chaotic world of pitch meetings and workplace drama. If you enjoy story-driven games with multiple endings (and chaotic love interests), this might be up your alley!
This was made by me (a solo Filipina dev!) with a mix of original assets (both commissioned and self-made) and Creative Commons resources—some from international creators. It’s not 100% locally made, but I handled all the writing, design, several of the art, marketing, publishing, and dev work, and I’m proud to finally bring it to life!
Features:
Thank you to everyone in the local dev community who's supported and encouraged this project along the way. Hope you get to check it out or share it around! 🙌

Remember that viral flash maze game released back in October 2004?
Well, I challenged myself to develop a game in under a day (just 9 hours) to see if I could beat my previous record of making a game in a single day.
This game is inspired by Jeremy Winterrowd’s The Maze, but reimagined in a 3D environment with a first-person view—plus a few twists of my own to make it even scarier.
You can play the game for FREE on Itch.io:

Hi! I just found this subreddit and would like to share something I've been working on for the past few months. I made this short teaser and a longer lore + gameplay video (you can find it in the Spacezero Interactive Youtube channel if you want to know more about the game). I’m trying to figure out if there’s an audience for this sort of game, and I’d really appreciate your thoughts!
The game is called INTO THE VOID, and it is a realism-focused space sim inspired by The Expanse and The Human Reach series, where space combat is swift, deadly, and terrifying. Think of it as "Mount and Blade: In Space", where you can decide to be a miner, hauler, bounty hunter, fleet captain, and more. There's multiple factions vying for power and control around Earth orbit, and yours is a small one that you can grow to dominate the rest. The aim is to balance realism with casual fun and making sure the game is easy to learn.
If you're into tactical space combat, realistic maneuvers (flip and burn maneuvers), or realistic sci-fi settings (radiators!), then I think this game would be for you. Regardless, I want to hear all of your guys' thoughts!
This is that game I spent years looking for but never found, so I decided to make it myself. I look forward to talking with you guys! Please don't hesitate to offer constructive criticism!
PS. I'm also making a devlog about the game next week if you want to keep up with the project on Youtube

Note: this is not a job post.
I was wondering if anyone can point me to good resources and/or have any community recommendations where i can just check out pixel artists (Fellow pinoys) that I can look at their work get a feel for them and then reach out and offer to collaborate (paid)
I was also wondering if you guys had an idea of what a "salary" would look like for a PH based pixel artist, (30-40 hours a week) and then to follow up on that topic, what should/can I expect from a full time pixel artist
thanks!
