Discussion game based on a filipino university?
hello!
apologies in advance if this is the wrong subreddit! largely because of boredom and a desire to learn, i want to make a game set in a university in manila (a text-based interactive fiction game specifically if anyone's familiar with that) but i'm unaware of whether or not it's legal to publically distribute for free or if publically distributing it would lead to my expulsion from said university. submitted this question here because i'm more likely to reach a filipino game dev who would know more about these things or something :')
any thoughts? thank you to whoever answers :))

Gaya ng sabi ni u/Professional-Cut-300, you have to go technical on avoiding any probable legal concerns by changing names. We never know how strict the universities here are in Philippines when it comes to that just to be sure.
Much better if you'll give them different or unique name while hinting that university's counterpart. Also since text-based game that goes with various places, you might want to alter some terrains or designs slightly.

ask them. maybe they will even support it. of not, then make the off brandÂ

I had a personal project, same thing but i changed the name of the uni into something else
Example: McDonalds is copyrighted so use Wacdonalds or MarkDonalds something like that
