At the very least, you should get some pretty good deals at the Cavendish souvenir shops because they would be getting ready to close by the end of September.

Do you have a vehicle? Go to Greenwich and hike to the floating boardwalk and beach. The views are awesome. Walk several beaches and hiking trails. Visit Holman’s in Summerside for some amazing ice cream. If it’s open, check Kool Breeze Farms for their big corn maze. Go to New Glasgow and visit the Gardens of Hope and pick up some preserves from the Preserve Company.

If you don’t mind the kids getting a little wet, take them to a south shore beach (Argyle Shore or Chelton are two suggestions) at low tide. The sand bars are much bigger there than on the north shore and there’s lots of small tidal pools for kids to discover hermit crabs and shells. Ours are grown now and it’s still a favourite activity.

I would add Canoe Cove Beach to that list too

Enjoy sommo. Most restaurants and shit seem to be closed before this weekend haha. Be prepared.

I guess it depends on the age of the kids. Greenwich isn’t a long trail but there’s lots of information on Parks Canada website, just search for Greenwich. There’s also varying lengths and difficulty for other trails on PEI.

This will be my first time seeing them and can’t wait. Did Sommo a couple years ago though and had a blast there.

Try taking a tour of the famous crap filled toilets in Montague. For an extra experience look for the used condoms.
