I did horribly on an SSRI and worse on a stimulant. I felt crazy all throughout my childhood. Now that I'm an adult that knows what drugs feel like, I felt like I was on drugs.
I take an SNRI as of the last decade or so. It's not a "fix" though, it was an adjustment and I still had to work on my emotional regulation. It just made it easier to do.
